2003 - Jeep Wrangler on 2040-cars
Tecumseh, Michigan, United States
I am the original and only owner. Jeep has never been in the shop, so wouldn't be much info. on Autocheck or Carfax. eBay sticks that Autocheck info in the listing, not me. Kelly Bluebook has it at 17,769 in very good condition. Person to person sale. 2003 Jeep TJ Wrangler 16,950 Original Miles 4.0L inline 6 cylinder engine 5 Speed HD manual transmission. Hard, and soft tops. Soft top has a 1 inch hole from a mouse, no extra charge. Costs 35 to get fixed. I know this, as have already fixed it once. Air Conditioning Tilt wheel Cruise control am/fm/cd with 7 speaker stereo system Delay wipers Interior lighting Sport seating Fog lamps 16” alloy wheels and tires Full sized spare tire Command-trac shift-on-the-fly four wheel drive Leather wrapped steering wheel All drive train fluids were changed at 9 years of age. Jeep recommends 10yrs or 100,000 miles. Battery replaced once. Oil changed every year. Original tires and original EVERYTHING else. Never been in for repair. Never been detailed. I waxed it once about four years ago. I wipe the door jambs and engine compartment after each wash. It might have seen an automated car wash twice in the past 11 years. It hand washes in about 15 minutes. Has a few scratches that have been touched up on right rear. Self inflicted by me. Once trying to take the hard top on or off by myself. Another time I had something leaning up against the garage door, opened it and item fell on back. If I didn’t tell you this, you might not find them. You really have to look.

Chrysler recalling hundreds of thousands of Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander SUVs
Wed, 23 Jul 2014The public might associated ignition switch recalls with General Motors - and with good cause - but that's not the only automaker calling its vehicles back in to fix that sort of issue.
Last month we reported that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was investigating an array of Chrysler Group vehicles for electrical-related safety issues. The administration and Chrysler subsequently issued a recall for 700,000 Dodge Journey crossovers, Dodge Grand Caravan minivans and Chrysler Town & Country minivans. But while the Jeeps that were also under investigation were not covered in that recall, they are being addressed in a separate one now.
Although Chrysler reports that it is only aware of a single accident stemming from this issue, it is "committing now to conduct a recall out of an abundance of caution." The recall affects the 2006-2007 Jeep Commander and 2005-2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, of which it reports there are 792,300 on the road: 649,900 in the United States, 28,800 in Canada, 12,800 in Mexico and a further 100,800 outside of North America.
Jeep does Renegade Chinese-style with Zi You Xia design concept
Sat, 19 Apr 2014As we mentioned, Jeep is bringing a quartet of concepts to the Beijing Motor Show this year. Its largest model, the Grand Cherokee, is nowhere to be found, but its smallest is. That, of course, would be the new Renegade, which has been done up as the Zi You Xia design concept.
Taking its name from the Mandarin word (or words) for "rebel," the Zi You Xia takes its inspiration from the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, with a Warm Chocolate Gray paintjob with contrasting dark bronze trim. The roof, grille and mirror caps are color-keyed to match the rest of the exterior, riding on 20-inch alloys in the same dark bronze finish.
Inside it's all Piano Black, Anodized Copper and brown leather with plaid fabric inserts. Scope it out in the high-res image gallery above and the press release below.
Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is our idea of a restrained Mopar shopping spree
Thu, 07 Nov 2013According to a recent report, the Jeep Wrangler is the most popular SUV for customization, and this is backed up by the fact that the iconic off-roader was just named the Hottest 4x4-SUV at SEMA for the fourth year in a row. Looking for ways to keep its customers in-house rather than going aftermarket, Jeep and Mopar are always teaming to offer exciting new parts and pieces for the JK Wrangler.
Compared to most other Wranglers on display at SEMA - as well as other Chrysler Mopar SEMA concepts - the Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is surprisingly reserved, but should be no less exciting for owners to give their Wrangler a distinctive look. Starting off with an eye-catching copper paint scheme, the Jeep then goes on a Mopar catalog shopping spree with its matte black grille, black beadlock wheels, two-inch lift, Rubicon bumper (with a winch and aero end caps up front) and rocker panel and taillight guards.
Jeep also upgraded the Wrangler's transfer case for low-speed rock crawling (hence the vehicle's name) and cold-air intake for extra measure.
