Rare 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited hard top for sale. Great car with new Hankook tires included. Only ever had two owners. No problems in the entire 6 years of ownership. Great snow car! Looking to give to a good home. Never taken off road, always treated well, super reliable vehicle. 87k miles, just under 10k miles per year. Great mechanical condition, no issues. Wheel wobble 15k miles ago, all fixed now.

4.0 liter inline 6 cylinder version. Cruise control, airbags, cd stereo. Colorado car; completely rust free, original condition paint. Selling below Blue Book value only because of some minor scratches. Typical crack in windshield, minor hail damage, priced accordingly. Quite firm on asking price.

The jeep is automatic and is a great driver and is in great condition. It has never been offroaded and was used as a driver for our entire ownership. Never had any issues with it mechanically, we just found a vehicle that will work better for our needs and has 4 doors.

But in summary, it has typical wear and tear on the outside. Front foglights cracked, but headlights not. Average chipping due to rocks on front grille, but nothing glaring out at you. The Blue metallic color looks very sharp and is not often seen. All trim outside is dark grey and not the faded whitish color.
All 5 original wheels included, with minimal rashing. Hankook tires replaced less than 10k miles ago. The hardtop roof is rare and in great condition.
Besides the foglights, the windshield is also cracked (vertically right down the middle) and is not in line of sight. We decided not to replace again after doing so twice prior. The hood has minor hail damage as mentioned before.
It is completely stock (besides tires), never modified or off-roaded within our ownership of 60k miles/ 6+ years. Because of this, it has not been abused and it feels great. Engine is in good shape and transmission as well. Probably put in 4WD less than 5 times since ownership.

Because of this, we would not hesitate to take this Jeep anywhere across the country as we know it will get us there.
There is no rust. The only rust is surface rust on the rear chassis bar below the rear gate. I can get photos of this.
Interior has been cleaned and looks great. Typical use, but no tears, rips, smells, stains, or scratches. All interior works great as we bought it in 2008.
Since being cleaned, washed, detailed, and waxed, I have it in the garage.

New battery within the last two years. Last year of the TJU/ wrangler unlimited model.

Personal note: This car has never been in any accidents. It is just waiting to be off roaded and to be someone's new enjoyment. I loved driving this car and I love my Jeep. It has been great to me and I never felt unsafe and I never had issues with it. I needed a family car, as I am getting older and planning a family, otherwise I would not be selling it now. It was a great single car and a great time. I fell in love with the car the moment I saw it and just had to buy it. I want it to go to an enthusiast, who will love it and care for it.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

There will forever be a soft spot in my heart for the Jeep Wrangler. The last one I owned was red, and, as a 1990 model, had the square headlights derided by Jeep enthusiasts who grew up on the Civilian Jeeps that descended from their General Purpose military ancestors. As a teenager, I couldn't have cared less what shape its headlights happened to be - to me, a Jeep Wrangler represented freedom; a carefree do-it-all machine equally at home with the top stowed away in the summer or with the heater on full blast in the snowy clutches of Old Man Winter. In Dr. Seuss parlance, my square-headlighted Sneetch was just as worthy as any round-headlighted Sneetch.
All that said, I'll be the first person to advise against buying a Jeep Wrangler of any sort for owners who don't plan to use it as its makers intend. There's no good reason to punish yourself with a stiff and springy ride, a loud and somewhat drafty (though generally water-resistant) interior or the poor fuel economy expected of a block-shaped vehicle if you don't enjoy its other, more exciting benefits.
Of course, Jeep has done its darndest over the years to make the Wrangler as civilized as possible while keeping it as capable as federal law will allow. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab edition is one of Jeep's latest attempts to attract attention from the upper reaches of the active lifestyle set, and I spent a week with one to see what makes the Moab special.

First Jeepster prototype spotted with final, boxy form

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The long-awaited baby Jeep is getting closer to production, as evidenced by these spy photos. Previously, the only images of the so-called Jeepster saw it wearing a Fiat 500L body (see below), while this new batch of photos show hefty amounts of camouflage. How is that better? Well, it's very likely there's a production body hiding under all that cladding.
While picking out styling details is virtually impossible thanks to all the camo, as our spies point out, this gives us a very sound idea of the Jeepster's final size. It's small, although we'd argue that it's only slightly smaller than the current Jeep Patriot, based on the images of the newest Jeep sitting in front of an Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
As we reported previously, this little bambino will be built on a Fiat platform, but the styling should be uniquely Jeep - likely to include a somewhat vertical seven-slat grille and round headlights. We can expect to see a production Jeepster, if that ends up being the actual name (Latitude has been rumored, although as that's traditionally a trim level, we imagine there'd be some confusion), when it debuts at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Chrysler recalling hundreds of thousands of Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander SUVs

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

The public might associated ignition switch recalls with General Motors - and with good cause - but that's not the only automaker calling its vehicles back in to fix that sort of issue.
Last month we reported that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration was investigating an array of Chrysler Group vehicles for electrical-related safety issues. The administration and Chrysler subsequently issued a recall for 700,000 Dodge Journey crossovers, Dodge Grand Caravan minivans and Chrysler Town & Country minivans. But while the Jeeps that were also under investigation were not covered in that recall, they are being addressed in a separate one now.
Although Chrysler reports that it is only aware of a single accident stemming from this issue, it is "committing now to conduct a recall out of an abundance of caution." The recall affects the 2006-2007 Jeep Commander and 2005-2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, of which it reports there are 792,300 on the road: 649,900 in the United States, 28,800 in Canada, 12,800 in Mexico and a further 100,800 outside of North America.
