- Factory Jeep 16" wheels - with 5 Goodyear Wrangler ST 225/75R/16 tires - These wheels were purchased from a private seller in Ohio last September - coming off of a new Jeep Wrangler. He had painted the spare wheel black (I believe the paint could be removed fairly easily). All 5 wheels are in very good shape, and the 4 mounted tires have around 4000 miles with plenty of tread (85%+) remaining - spare tire (black wheel) is brand new.
- iON Alloy wheels - with 4 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 33/12.5/15 tires and 1 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R - These wheels came with the Jeep when I purchased it. The Duratrac tires look to have roughly 15-20% tread remaining, while the MT/R looks to be brand new.
The Jeep runs great (always reliable) and has no known issues mechanically. I've changed the oil routinely with Mobile 1 Syn 5w-30 (with K&N filter). Transmission shifts well, and the 4wd functions as it should. Cosmetically, the Jeep is in good shape as well. The paint shines up nicely, and the body has very few defects. The soft-top looks to be in decent shape.
There is a small dent near the driver's side hood/fender area (pictured) that was present when I purchased the Jeep. As with most used vehicles, there are very few minor scratches on the vehicle here and there. There is a very small slit in the driver's plastic window (from folding the window down routinely), visible in the pictures below.
The Jeep is currently financed through Chase Automotive (Columbus, Ohio) for well under the starting price. Upon receipt of funds, vehicle will immediately be "paid off" at my local branch and the free and clear title will be express mailed to the buyer (or delivered upon pickup, if paid in advance) as soon as received.
I would like full payment to be made within 10 days of auction end, and pickup/delivery is to be organized by the buyer. This vehicle is sold "as-is where-is" with no warranty implied.
If you'd like any additional information or pictures, feel free to email me. Thanks for looking!

2016 Jeep Wrangler to ditch solid axles to save weight?
Tue, 29 Oct 2013Hey, Jeep fans. If you think the idea of a funky-looking, car-based Cherokee revival is offensive, have a listen to what might be in store for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler. Automotive News is reporting that as Jeep develops the 2016 Wrangler, weight reduction is a crucial target, and the Wrangler's rugged solid axles could be sacrificed in the name of better fuel economy.
We've already heard the next Wrangler will go on a serious diet using aluminum body panels and an air suspension system, so the idea of a four-wheel independent suspension setup for this OG SUV isn't all that surprising. Besides, it's not like an independent suspension would limit the Wrangler's off-road abilities - just check out the Hummer H1. In fact, it might be the aftermarket parts companies - not Wrangler enthusiasts - who would be most disappointed by such a drastic suspension change, as the article states that the Wrangler's solid axles and coil-link suspension make it the most popular SUV for customization.
There are probably still a couple years before we'll start hearing any concrete details about the 2016 Wrangler, at which time it will be interesting to see how stricter fuel economy and crash safety regulations have been balanced with traditional Wrangler cues like its removable doors and roof and folding windshield. Let us know in the comments below if a Wrangler sans solid axles is any less of a Wrangler.
Jeep Wrangler Polar is a tasty frozen treat
Wed, 11 Sep 2013Perhaps it's because we've seen so many kitted-out examples over the years, but it seems to us that the Jeep Wrangler tends to wear its special-edition duds better than most models. It might be the icon's familiar rectilinear proportions or the inherent bolt-on look of its extremities - bumpers, mirrors, lighting, and step rails - but we've seen precious few factory specials that look anything but excellent.
Case in point: this new Jeep Wrangler Polar unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This European-market limited-edition model is said to be a celebration of winter driving, which evidently works out to a body-color hardtop, black-accent seven-slot grille, 18-inch gloss black wheels, Trac-Lok limited-slip differential and a hard hat for the spare tire. Finished here in Hydro Blue (Billet Silver Metallic and Bright White are also available) and a black interior with Polar White accents, the Polar edition features badges displaying 78° S and 106° E longitude and latitude coordinates for Vostok, Antarctica.
This new Jeep will be available in both standard and Unlimited formats with either the 3.6-liter Pentastar gas engine or the still-not-for-US 2.8-liter turbodiesel when it bows early next year. For further details, check out our gallery above and the press release below.
Jeep reveals annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari concepts
Wed, 20 Mar 2013Jeep has unveiled its annual spate of concepts before the Easter Jeep Safari. Those start with the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept (below left), complete with the company's EcoDiesel V6 engine. Designers threw in a set of 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires wrapped around 17-inch Rubicon wheels, and a set of custom fender flares help keep all that rubber under wraps.
Meanwhile, the Wrangler Mopar Recon (below right) packs a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 good for 470 horsepower. All that grunt gets to the ground via a five-speed automatic transmission and a set of a Dana 60 axles frond and rear with 4.10 gears. The Recon also makes use of a 4.5-inch prototype long-arm kit and a set of prototype eight-lug bead lock wheels.
The Wrangler Stitch (below left) builds on the momentum of the Wrangler Pork Chop Concept. Engineers once again set out to strike as much weight as possible from the vehicle, and actually managed to trim the curb weight down to 3,000 pounds. That effort has given the machine the same power to weight ratio as the Grand Cherokee SRT8. Plenty of carbon fiber, door deletes and a chrome moly roll cage all help trim those pounds, and a set of DanyTrac Pro Rock 44 axles with 4.88 gears and ARB lockers front and rear let this machine scramble over whatever is in its path.
