2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Custom Lifted 37's Best Of The Best on 2040-cars
Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, United States
I'm selling my 2014 Rubicon Unlimited only because I have the opportunity to buy the house of my dreams and could use some cash. It is in near mint condition and has 8100 miles but that may go up since I drive the Jeep often. It was built with the best parts and no expense was really spared. The Jeep's sticker was $42,xxx and change and I don't really know how much I've spent because I stopped counting, haha. Some of the options on the Jeep were heated PREMIUM Katzkin leather seats, Navigation, power everything, plus everything else the Rubicon comes with.
Here's a list of stuff that was done to the Jeep since purchased new: 3.5" Rock Krawler X-Factor lift kit Rock Krawler high steer kit Fox Racing remote reservoir shocks Fox Racing ATS steering stabilizer Braided steel brake lines 5-37" Nitto Trail Grapplers with roughly 4000 miles on them, Still very fresh 5-Hutchinson Rock Monster Bead Lock Wheels-DOT APPROVED Poison Spyder Customs steel crusher flares front and rear. The flares were seam sealed, then painted and the inner flare were bedlined. The flares are wrapped in clear 3m vinyl on the inner surface so there's no paint on paint rubbing. Front flares have L.E.D. side markers(crazy bright) Poison Spyder Customs Rock Brawler II rear bumper with shackle tabs. Powder coated a flat black with L.E.D. reverse lights Poison Spyder Customs Brawler Lite front bumper with shackle tabs. Powder coated flat black Poison Spyder Customs winch fairlead mount Poison Spyder Customs aluminum hawse fairlead Warn winch 9.5 CTIS- synthetic line J.W. Speaker L.E.D. Head lights J.W. Speaker L.E.D. Fog lights Nemisis offroad fog light mounting kit Teraflex heavy duty hinge Teraflex spare tire mount. This doesn't rattle with a HEAVY 37" tire hanging from it. License plate relocation L.E.D. 3RD brake light/tag light Reverse camera Lock pick for reverse camera with all the other mods for the nav unit. You can enter destinations and watch dads while vehicle is in motion. Vector offroad UFO'S in place of the hood bumpers Tuffy hood lock Color matched flares and smooth skin hardtop. Trimmed stock rock rails Here's a brief summery of the Jeep. The Jeep drives smooth and tracks straight for a lifted Jeep.Everything works as expected and the 3.6L is powerful enough to push the Jeep down the road happily. I was planning and doing the ring and pinion but after driving the Jeep for a couple thousand miles I was happy with the power. I would still consider doing it but it's not a turd like the 3.8L was. There are no dings or scratches and it looks brand new. The interior is as fresh as a new Jeep with very minor wear marks that would be associated with a vehicle with 8000 miles. Feel free to email with questions or requests for pics of something I'm missing. Feel free to come drive it too! I do have a loan with a local bank so there will be a small delay while the associated bank work takes place. I will assist with shipping too on the buyers dime. Check my feedback, I don't rip people off so bid with confidence. |

GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival
Wed, 12 Nov 2014Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.
2015 Jeep Renegade leaks out ahead of Geneva debut
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Meet the Renegade - Jeep's new baby crossover that's set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show this week. The folks at Jalopnik got their hands on a small batch of photos of the new little cutie, showing what appears to be a Trailhawk (read: trail-rated) version, as well as a more civilian-spec Renegade, complete with a new removable roof system, reportedly called My Sky.
Details are slim, though in addition to the exterior images, one photo of the interior has also been leaked, showing what appears to be a small, yet functional (and nicely appointed) cabin. Early reports suggested that the new small Jeep would be based on the Fiat 500L platform, though Jalopnik rightly points out that the Renegade looks an awful lot like the Panda 4x4. Regardless, there's still likely some 500L bones under there, and we'll know more once the official details are revealed in the very near future.
Head over to Jalopnik for more shots of the cute little Renegade, and stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
NHTSA investigating why Jeep recall fix is taking so long
Mon, 07 Jul 2014Jeep's saga with the National Traffic Safety Administration and the voluntary campaign to repair 1.56 million vehicles for allegedly unsafe trailer hitches, is getting yet another chapter. The controversy appeared to finally be over in January when the automaker found a supplier for the replacement parts. Nothing is ever that easy, though, and the government regulator is now requesting documents from the company to clarify why the repairs are taking so long to begin.
Jeep parent company Chrysler has until July 16 to submit documents and answers to NHTSA explaining the situation. The regulator claims that despite its compromise to inspect and repair the models with improper hitches in June 2013, Chrysler didn't find a part supplier until December and didn't order the replacements until January. The government agency believes that the first components weren't manufactured until May of this year and vehicles may not actually be repaired until as late as August. According to the report, if the Chrysler doesn't supply what NHTSA is asking for, the agency could "take additional appropriate action as warranted."
Throughout this entire process, Chrysler has asserted that the vehicles met the applicable crash test standards of the time, and it has kept NHTSA abreast of the repair activity. In a recently released statement it said that the regulator analyzed eight rear impact reconstruction tests and found the replacement hitch to be safe. To keep up with the high demand for replacements, Chrysler is working with multiple suppliers, and they are running three shifts, six days a week to get the parts ready as soon as possible.
