Up for auction is my 1988 Jeep Wrangler, it has a Black exterior and a black interior. This jeep has a hard top and hard doors with it, a bikini top, 35"spare on black wheel, and some fender flares that make it look survival ready. The inside has been lined with a roll on (thick) liner that has a kevlar additive. The engine in this jeep was installed by a professional ASE certified mechanic and purchased at Advanced Auto less than a year ago, and has a 100,000 mile three year warranty that should be transferrable. At the same time the engine was installed I had a new clutch, alternator, 35" Nitto Grappler w/ 18" XD black wheels, new hoses, belts, gas lines, etc. & radiator installed. After that I had a new starter, CV style drive shaft, I had a new lift put on it, two weeks ago along with new knuckles in the front end, new steering stabilizer, new shocks, and new Z bar. The only things on the jeep that are not new, are the rear end, front axle, and transfer case. I have put new rugged ridge seats and a new steel security console inside one week ago. It has a new JVC Streaming Bluetooth and Pandora AM/FM radio and new 6" kicker speakers in the sound bar. This jeep has AC but it doesn't work, I would imagine that if you wanted it to work it wouldn't take much to fix it. This jeep is a nice driver and can be driven every day. I had this jeep all fixed up to give to my son but my wife doesn't want him to have it as an every day driver, so after all that now we will just sell it. It is the buyers responsibility for shipping I will assist in making sure it gets with the service that you have pick it up

2014 Jeep Cherokee: Introduction

Tue, 27 May 2014

When we look back at some of the more shocking product launches of recent yeras, the Jeep Cherokee is certainly high up on the list. And we aren't just talking about its off-the-wall, polarizing design.
For starters, it brought back the iconic Cherokee nameplate - something Jeep enthusiasts have coveted for ages. But beyond that, it brought a new evolution for the Jeep brand. After all, the Cherokee is car-based - using the same compact platform that underpins the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200. It has a greater focus on technology and refinement than ever before, in an effort to appeal to a new crop of Jeep customers. And powering it all is a new (optional) V6 engine paired with an equally new nine-speed automatic transmission.
Can the Cherokee's car-based roots still allow for a vehicle that's superb when the going gets tough? Will its design still be a love/hate affair in one year's time, or will it start to blend in? Is the powertrain strong enough to not only support the needs of daily driving and road trips, but blaze a few trails as well? We're aiming to answer all these questions, and more, over the next 12 months. Welcome to the Autoblog long-term garage, Cherokee.

Jeep Wrangler likely to get aluminum body, will stay in Toledo

Mon, 27 Oct 2014

Perhaps more than any other vehicle currently for sale in the United States, the Jeep Wrangler is viewed by purist fans as a vehicle that simply must maintain the status quo. In this case, that means a body-on-frame design, solid axles, a relatively large engine sitting up front and a removable top. It's always been that way, and it always will be.
Maybe.
According to the most recent reports, the next-generation Jeep will continue to soldier forth with a full steel chassis underneath its stamped bodywork. The biggest change, reports Automotive News, will be that said panels will be hewn from aluminum instead of steel, a seismic shift of a transition not unlike what's happened with the new Ford F-150. Because it won't be a unibody, the SUV will likely continue to be assembled in Toledo, OH as it (almost) always has been - the latter has been a source of heartburn in recent weeks for the Northwestern city in the Buckeye State.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
