Hello Folks, this auction is for a very nice 2007 Kia Spectra EX, 4-speed automatic, 2.0 litre. Has factory wheel covers, 4-wheel disk brakes. The body is very clean, except for a few minor dings on the rear bumper. Tires are in good shape, brakes are good, and the oil has been changed every 3,000 miles with a 5-W-30 full synthetic motor oil. The upstream Oxygen sensor has been replaced, along with a new set of spark-plug wires. The car was purchased from Preston Mazda in Boardman.Ohio. Please look at all the pictures. Title is being held at Santander auto finance. The car averages 25 to 30 city driving and 30 to 35 highway mileage. I will start the auction at my PAY-OFF amount. I also would appreciate using Pay-Pal for down-payment, and cash or certified bank check as final payment. I will issue a 'Bill of Sale" until title arrives from finance company, that way you can acquire 'temporary tags', or just keep 'bill of sale' with you if you are transferring plates from another vehicle. 2015 Kia Soul EV
Thu, 16 Oct 2014You'd be forgiven if you weren't fully aware of this vehicle's existence. While the Soul EV is a big deal for Kia, as it marks the Korean brand's first foray into the world of pure electric vehicles here in the US, it simply has not a been able to garner much regard from the average car fan or, really, the automotive press.
As a green car, it has to be tough to compete with Elon Musk's remarkable ability to consistently hold our attention with nearly everything he touches at Tesla. Add that to the fact that the Soul EV doesn't offer a ton in the way of aesthetics to differentiate itself from its gasoline-powered sibling - save a few tweaks here and there - and its limited initial availability (CA only for now), and you end up with a vehicle that just isn't on a lot of people's radar. And that's too bad.
You see, none of the above is meant to imply that this is a bad car. In fact, as you read through our driving notes, you'll see that the reality is actually the opposite: Kia has a genuinely solid product on its hands.
Kia launching Uvo 2.0 in 2014 Sorento
Sat, 01 Dec 2012Along with all the new model introductions hitting the stages of the LA Auto Show, automakers made plenty of announcements in regards to technology heading into the show. Chevrolet's MyLink will be adding Siri and Ford is reportedly preparing some more updates for its MyFord Touch and My Lincoln Touch, but now Kia has announced that it will be releasing the next version of its Uvo infotainment system in the 2014 Kia Sorento and later in other Kia models including the redesigned 2014 Forte.
Uvo is Kia's hands-free infotainment system, and now it will be adding a telematics "eServices" system including vehicle diagnostics, a parking location reminder for drivers and 911 Connect. Officially called Uvo eServices Infotainment System with Voice Command Navigation, this is essentially the "version 2.0" for Uvo, which came with voice recognition and hands-free control of mobile phones when it was introduced in 2010.
When the 2014 Sorento goes on sale, the new Uvo will only be compatible with iPhones, but Android phones are expected to work by the second quarter. Scroll down for Kia's press release on the updated Uvo system.
Kia Provo Concept is the hybrid bruiser we've always wanted
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Kia has taken a stab at the sport hatchback segment with its Provo Concept. Unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the machine features menacing styling that could give the Mini Cooper or Citroën DS3 something to sweat over. Kia says the concept features a hybrid drivetrain comprised of a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 201 horsepower that spins the front wheels, while a 44 hp electric motor can add extra thrust to the back rollers when necessary for simulated all-wheel drive. The setup can also provide electric-only propulsion at low speeds.
The interior serves up a carbon fiber dash adorned with analog gauges and a small digital display. Aluminum toggle switches control most of the vehicle's systems while column-mounted paddle shifters take care of swapping gears. If this all sounds too good to be true, it is.
