Up for auction here is without a doubt one of THE MOST Beautiful Looking ,Driving ,Handling and Performing Crossovers in Modern times !....I personally bought this 2011 KIA Sportage EX right off the showroom floor in July of 2011 and it absolutely still looks EXACTLY like it did that same day I bought it ..It has (Like ALL of my vehicles has been professionally serviced and maintained every 3500 miles )  Never ever been smoked in ,and when it was ready for its first oil change I immediately installed "Royal Purple Full Synthetic oil " in the engine and have done ever since .I also installed a Super Air Flow Breather system on the 2.4 Litre engine which automatically gained me EXACTLY 2.9 more MPG of fuel !..which now puts it up to right around 31 MPG on the Free way.It just earlier this week turned over to 25000 miles on the clock !   To save a whole lot of writing ...THE BEST WAY to explain ALL of the the options on this KIA Sportage EX is that it has Absolutely every single possible option Available from the factory ...Except it does not have a Turbo or all wheel drive ,which being the "CAR GUY" that I am I did not think it was necessary to have those two additional extras when you really would of not of benefited all of that much from them . It has ALWAYS been garaged never driven in the snow,..(because I have a 4 Wheel drive Pickup for that job)..it also has that awesome FULLY Tinted Panoramic Roof on it with the front is full power ,all gray leather interior ,heated and cooled front seats (Cooled on drivers only ) Incredible sounding 6 Speaker Stereo System, a Lot of controls or worked by being mounted on the Steering wheel ..Now the main reason for me selling is I always have liked Mini Coopers and when they came out with the new 4 Door Country Man hatch back ,,well I just had to have it .Whats really cool is I am currently totally restoring the Grandfather to the late model Cooper ,I m putting the finishing touch's to a 1959 Morris Minor 1000 2 Door which has a real heavy resemblance to the New Mini Cooper,So I thought would be very neat to have New & old Coopers .
But back to the Sportage ,this crossover will make anyone a Super Great running, plenty of room , Very Economical vehicle .

Good Luck To ALL on Bidding and Thank You .................................

Kia gives K900 Matrix spoof for Super Bowl commercial

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Kia made a splash when it announced that Laurence Fishburne would revisit Morpheus, his bespectacled, blade-wielding badass character from the Matrix trilogy for a Super Bowl commercial. When we originally broke that story, we offered up a brief synopsis of the spot, produced by David&Goliath.
Now, we have an extended, 90-second version of the 60-second Kia K900 commercial that's slated to air during this weekend's Super Bowl. While it does stick to the brief we reported on a few weeks back, there's a big, ridiculous twist in the last bit of the video, not to mention a few easter eggs for fans of the movies. We won't spoil it for you, so scroll down and have a look.
After you've watched the video, scroll just a bit further down and have a look at Kia's official press release on the commercial.

Provo concept name has Kia embroiled in terrorism controversy?

Fri, 08 Mar 2013

In the relatively lengthy press release that Kia composed for the launch of its Provo concept car at the Geneva Motor Show this week, the company never mentioned where the name came from, or what it means for the car. A very basic web search for "Provo" reveals that the inspiration for the hatch could have been a city in Utah, a township in South Dakota or a village in Bosnia. The name could be a reference to either an American (Fred) or Canadian (Dwayne) football player, and Provo might also accurately reference a "Dutch counterculture movement in the mid-1960s" or a ship in the US Navy. More likely than any of those, however, is that the Kia designers of the concept - a car that was wholly a product of the Korean automaker's design studios in Frankfurt, for the record - meant it as a play on the existing Pro_cee'd hatchback.
What the designers and Kia executives that signed off on the Provo almost certainly did not have in mind was a reference to a street name for the Provisional Irish Republican Army. That "Provo" was, according to TheDetroitBureau.com, an outlawed army faction that was blamed for some 2,000 deaths in Northern Ireland during a period stretching from 1970 to 1997.
And yet, it was that association that led Gregory Campbell, a member of parliament from Northern Ireland, to introduce legislation that would ban Kia from selling a car under the name Provo. Kia, quick to realize the sizable gaffe it has stumbled into with the name, has reportedly already promised not to use the name for a production vehicle.

Honda, Hyundai and Kia get best word-of-mouth recommendations in US

Mon, 09 Dec 2013

Forget advertising, incentives and, yes, even our excellently crafted vehicle reviews, sometimes the best way for automakers to sell cars is still good ol' fashioned word of mouth. In an attempt to measure this "word of mouth" power, The Boston Consulting Group, a management consulting firm, has created a new study called the Brand Advocacy Index (BAI). The index takes a look at how various industries perform from person to person. Those industries include automotive, smartphones, grocery, mobile telecommunications and banking.
The study polled more than 32,000 individuals across Europe and in the US to come up with the top 55 brands in these various industries. On the automotive side of things, the top brands in the US were Honda, Hyundai and Kia, all tied at 63 percent. On a global scale, Volkswagen and Toyota scored the highest with a 65-percent BAI rating (both in France). The average BAI for auto industry players tallied 50 percent.
As for companies in other industries, Apple's iPhone was the index's top-rated smartphone, Trader Joe's was the highest recommended grocery store, Virgin was sat atop the mobile telecom industry and USAA was the top retail bank. Scroll down for the full press release on the new study.
