A fantastic looking left hand drive Landrover Series III 109 built in 1977 and frame off restored in 2009 including an engine overhaul. Since the 2009 restoration this Landrover has very few miles added due to previous owner's health condition. The odometer is currently at 96000 Km.

The tropical roof with safari vents (when open) allows for good airflow which is surprisingly effective even in the Southeastern climate.

Extras include front and rear light guards, jerrycan and holder, upgraded defender type side mirrors, wing top diamond plate protector guards, seat belts, two diesel tanks for extra range.

The bulkhead/firewall has no rust no holes.

Going high-tech, the 4x4 way

Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.

Jaguar Land Rover opens winter testing facility in Minnesota

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

As it begins the rollout of the all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ and XF models, Jaguar Land Rover has just announced that it has opened a new facility in northern Minnesota for winter testing. Located in International Falls, MN (on the US and Canadian border), the British automaker says it is one of the coldest locations in the Continental US. Jaguar's new Instinctive All Wheel Drive system was developed primarily to help sell more cars in the northern US, so it only makes sense to open a testing area in the US as well.
With temperatures that can drop to minus 55 degrees Fahrenheit, International Falls was chosen to mimic some of the worst weather a Jaguar or Land Rover will ever see. The grounds house testing chambers, various road surfaces and even a frozen lake. This new facility complements the hot-weather testing grounds in Phoenix, AZ.
The official press release is posted below.
