1985 Land Rover Defender 90, Right Hand Drive, Naturally Aspirated Diesel on 2040-cars
Danville, West Virginia, United States
1985 Land Rover Defender 90. It was imported by Skytop Rovers in Philadelphia, where I purchased it in 2012. It is originally from Cornwall, England. I drive it regularly back and forth to work. It does have an oil leak (likely the rear main seal), but it still makes its way up and down the hills. I haven't spent much time with restoration, it needs paint and body work. I have added tires, headlights, a new starter and recently a new ignition lock. The original front seats were replaced with some non-Rover buckets prior to my ownership. The rear seats are standard and in decent shape. The speedometer and dash lights work, but the rest of the interior electrical components were previously disconnected. Wipers work, but sprayer does not. It has a nice nudge bar on the front that is welded to the frame and winch ready. Overall it's a decent truck and a good foundation for restoration. It passes annual inspection and is quite driveable. I will soon be purchasing a Discovery II and I will not have the space for the Defender. Buyer will be responsible for arranging and funding shipment if necessary. VIN SALLDVAC7AA224755IN

Jaguar appoints Joe Eberhardt as North American President
Thu, 19 Dec 2013Jaguar Land Rover North America has appointed a new president, Joachim Eberhardt. The German exec, 50, had previously done stints at Chrysler Group, DaimlerChrysler UK, Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler-Benz.
Eberhardt joins JLR NA in a good, but challenging time for the company. It's fresh off the launch of the Range Rover Sport and Jaguar F-Type, which have been subject to rave reviews, and its overall sales are up 21 percent over 2012. Still, as Automotive News points out, the two manufacturers face a fight to become the equal of A-list competitors like BMW and Mercedes in the eyes of consumers.
"Joe brings a proven industry track record and valuable global leadership experience in luxury sales, service and marketing. We look forward to Joe leading our North American team in working with our retail networks to further grow the business and better serve our customers," JLR's group sales operations director, Andy Goss, said.
Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.

JustDrive will allegedly deliver on the long-promised idea of natural communication between driver and car.
Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.
