I'm selling this Land Rover for my stepson that lost his leg in a train accident and is unable to repair. He took a trip From Co to Cal and had overheat problems on the return trip and parked it when he got back. He said it was not locked up but would not start, something about a vacuum hose between distributer and intake. That was 3 years ago. He has since moved to Cal and asked me to sell it for him. I took some pictures and looked it over and will do my best to describe what I could see and remember with out ever riding in it or running the engine. I temporarily put a battery in it and it cranked over and sounded like it wanted to start but didn't. The wipers, front windows, fans, lights and most switches work if II recall. Original radio with stack cd changer is included but was removed to install I-pod deck that has since been removed. He said front moon roof worked but rear did not. I found front roof seemed jammed but motor ran and stalled and rear roof may have a broken part as window is loose and motor runs freely. Tires hold air and have good tread but have side wall cracks from sitting with low air for three years. Passenger seat must have been replaced alto identical it is cloth. Drivers seat is leather but is worn and torn. Rear seats are leather and in good but dirty condition as are the carpets. Jump seats in rear appeared to be in great condition. Please look at pictures you get what you see and this car is being sold as is. Ask questions if you want more information. You will need to make your own arrangements to transport, I recommend on a trailer.

Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.
Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."
Jaguar demanding customer data from reluctant dealers
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
Nearly every major business is collecting consumer data these days, and keeping that data secure has come to the forefront of many customer's minds. Jaguar Land Rover North America's decision to begin requesting more customer info from its dealer network appears unfortunately timed, however. If it had come a few years ago, it might have been ignored, but in today's climate of heightened awareness, a few dealers are pushing back. To put the showrooms in an even tougher position, JLR NA is threatening to deny quarterly incentives if they do not turn over the customer data, according to Automotive News.
JLR NA instated the nationwide plan, which it calls Single View CRM, on February 7, but according to Stuart Schorr, Jaguar Land Rover North America Vice President of Communications, the automaker has been negotiating with its dealers to institute the new program for over a year. Schorr tells Autoblog that no financial information is being shared, noting that such data is limited to customer details, including things like what vehicles they own and whether they have any pending service. The initiative is meant to "improve customers' and owners' engagement with the brand," he said. Also, the company is not accessing dealer data itself; instead showrooms are asked to enter the info into JLR's database.
