This 2000 Disco II is loaded with many off road extras that make it an incredibly fun car. The most important upgrade is the Center Differential Lock (CDL) that has been installed. It is extremely rare to find this on 99-03 Disco's and it greatly improves performance off road. It also comes equipped with a half roof rack, hi-light mount, hi-lift jack, rear auxiliary light, ladder, A-Frame brush bar with auxiliary lights, and aggressive A/T Nitto Grappler tires. The tires are basically new with less than 6K on them.

The interior of this Disco is in great shape. The front seats show basic wear and tear of a 14+ year old car, but they have been well taken care of. The back seats look almost new. The center console has a wood upgrade that matches the stock wood, looks very nice. I have also replaced the headliner fabric with color matched paint so you will never have sagging headliner that many Disco owners deal with. There is also OEM rubber mats all around.

Mechanically this Disco has been very sound. I've always kept of maintenance, used synthetic oil, premium gas, and routine seafoam treatments. The "Three Amigos" do come on at times, but not all the time. Since this Disco has the CDL upgrade, the Amigos never effect traction since the diff is locked. I have removed the rear air bag suspension and replaced it with normal springs. This way, you will NEVER have a sagging air bag that many older DIIs deal with. Other "defects" are listed above, but nothing extreme to fix on this Disco.

To this day, this Disco really turns heads. It's a fun and capable vehicle on and off road. I am getting another British vehicle because I love the way these things are built to last. Please don't hesitate to ask my any questions before placing an offer. More than happy to drop off locally around WNC or Upstate SC, but if shipping is necessary, the new owner is responsible for arranging. Good luck!

Ferrari exec to lead Jaguar North America

Tue, 06 Aug 2013

Jaguar has announced that Jeff Curry will be serving as the brand's new North American vice president, effective August 13. The move is a coup for Jag, which lured Curry away from his previous posting as VP of marketing for Ferrari North America, and is further evidence of just how strong Jaguar's comeback has gotten.
Curry has spent over 20 years in the auto industry, and has worked with Audi, SiriusXM and Land Rover, where he made his start in the industry. His primary responsibilities with Jaguar will cover marketing communications, customer relationship management, and product planning.
Jaguar Land Rover's North American president, Andy Goss, heaped praise on the brand's newest addition saying, "Jeff brings with him extensive automotive and luxury marketing experience, critical expertise in leading-edge technologies and a personal passion for automobiles."

Jaguar Land Rover puts the freeze on wounded soldier-athletes [w/video]

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

For athletes, the cold is often a powerful ally in treating injures, with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) a popular means of treating muscle pulls, bruising and other common forms of discomfort. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.

Jaguar appoints Joe Eberhardt as North American President

Thu, 19 Dec 2013

Jaguar Land Rover North America has appointed a new president, Joachim Eberhardt. The German exec, 50, had previously done stints at Chrysler Group, DaimlerChrysler UK, Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler-Benz.
Eberhardt joins JLR NA in a good, but challenging time for the company. It's fresh off the launch of the Range Rover Sport and Jaguar F-Type, which have been subject to rave reviews, and its overall sales are up 21 percent over 2012. Still, as Automotive News points out, the two manufacturers face a fight to become the equal of A-list competitors like BMW and Mercedes in the eyes of consumers.
"Joe brings a proven industry track record and valuable global leadership experience in luxury sales, service and marketing. We look forward to Joe leading our North American team in working with our retail networks to further grow the business and better serve our customers," JLR's group sales operations director, Andy Goss, said.
