2004 Land Rover Discovery - Gorgeous! on 2040-cars
Richmond, Virginia, United States
If you're looking at this ad, you know how great and unique the Land Rovers are and you know you want something different then the rest of the SUVs that all look and perform the same on the road today. Enter my 2004 Land Rover Discovery S. I can tell you with certainty that there is not another Discovery out there like this one. Two owner truck (I am the second owner). Truck started life in Florida and was meticulously maintained. Only 96000 miles on the clock and she runs perfect. Recent $3500 service including new belts, O2 sensors, plugs and more. Beautiful black interior with as close to perfect leather seats as they can be. No rips, tears or even creases in the seats! No rust anywhere and paint is in fantastic shape. AC blows ICE cold and sound system works great. All power windows, both sun roofs and power locks work perfect. Truck drives wonderfully and is my daily driver. Tires are brand new, less than 50 miles on them. Tinted windows, black rims, fog spot lights on the front and matte black hood give this truck a MEAN look with an awesome stance. I get thumbs up from other Land Rover owners daily. Let me know what questions you have. Texts will be ignored. You will love this truck and wont have any regrets! |

Is Jaguar's 3 Series-fighter the brand's last chance?
Wed, 16 Oct 2013The upcoming line of compact 3 Series-fighters from Jaguar, often referred to as the Jaguar XS, could consist of a sedan, wagon and possibly a coupe and GT model (think BMW 5 Series GT). The car's all-aluminum architecture also will provide the basis for two new sports utility vehicles. Just how important is the much-touted "baby Jag" project to parent company Jaguar Land Rover? A JLR executive reportedly says the brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS, codenamed X760, Autocar reports.
The brand's survival is directly linked to the success of the XS.
"If the X760 fails, it will probably be the end for the [Jaguar] brand," the executive says. But Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar's global brand director, claims Jaguar will "build the most advanced, most efficient, most refined car in that [compact luxury sedan] segment. Not almost as good as, but better than the best in the world."
These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
Ferrari exec to lead Jaguar North America
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Jaguar has announced that Jeff Curry will be serving as the brand's new North American vice president, effective August 13. The move is a coup for Jag, which lured Curry away from his previous posting as VP of marketing for Ferrari North America, and is further evidence of just how strong Jaguar's comeback has gotten.
Curry has spent over 20 years in the auto industry, and has worked with Audi, SiriusXM and Land Rover, where he made his start in the industry. His primary responsibilities with Jaguar will cover marketing communications, customer relationship management, and product planning.
Jaguar Land Rover's North American president, Andy Goss, heaped praise on the brand's newest addition saying, "Jeff brings with him extensive automotive and luxury marketing experience, critical expertise in leading-edge technologies and a personal passion for automobiles."
