This is a 2002 Land Rover Disco II. It has 92420 current miles, I am no longer driving it so the mileage will not change. The Vehicle is in great shape for its age. It has normal wear and tear throughout the years. The interior is in great condition with still supple leather throughout. I bought this vehicle from the original owner. I still have the original window sticker with the vehicle showing the original owner paid 40k for the vehicle new. It has a 4.0 liter V-8, Auto transmission, Upgraded Nitto Grappler tires, over 18" of ground clearance, steel bumper with warn winch, metal tail light covers, Hella/KC style lights on the bumper (controlled from the inside using factory switches it looks very clean), new windshield wipers, all time 4x4 with a tow mode and a manual mode. All interior features work including the transfer case and the other modes. It is however missing the front passenger side plastic applique (available on Ebay for around 100 dollars) on the front pillar and the check engine light has come on. I took it to autozone and they ran the diagnostics on it and it came back to being an O2 sensor (available on Ebay for around 100 dollars as well). No engine, transmission, suspension or major issues with the vehicle. I do have this vehicle listed locally as well and reserve the right to close this auction at any time. Any shipping or pickup of the vehicle will be at the buyers expense. Once the bidding has finalized the winning bidder will be required to pay 500 dollars within 48hrs. Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Tata to get Jaguar and Land Rover tech, platforms too?
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Since buying Jaguar Land Rover, Indian automaker Tata has generally left its luxury arm's platforms and technology alone. However, those days might be gone. The two of them are gradually growing closer with coordinated development and rumors of shared platforms. And it looks like all of that work and money is finally going to pay off with an actual vehicle in the near future.
According to Australian website Drive, Tata wants to make its cars more attractive to buyers outside of India, and to do that the company knows it must improve quality. The Indian company is being careful, though, because it doesn't want to dilute the Jaguar or Land Rover brands with cheap models. "You're going to see in the future a lot of sharing of technologies and platforms over time, but you won't see a JLR with a Tata badge on it," said Darren Bowler, managing director of Tata's Australian distributor, to Drive.
According to Bowler, these future vehicles are already on the way. Tata and JLR have a global platform in the works for 2017 that both companies could use for cars or crossovers. He also hinted that Jaguar's new Ingenium engines could be shared among the brands in the future, too.
Mazda CX-5 named Japan's Car of The Year, Subaru BR-Z wins "Special Award"
Mon, 03 Dec 2012The Mazda CX-5 stamped its Kodo design and SkyActiv technology authority all over the Japan Car of the Year awards, taking the top prize ahead of the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT 86. It is Mazda's second victory in the last ten years, the 2005 MX-5 claiming the same trophy, and the fourth time the Hiroshima company has won.
The award is decided by 60 local "automotive experts and journalists," and open to any passenger car released in Japan from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 that has sold more than 500 units. Each judge gets 25 votes, his or her top vote getting 10 points, the rest of the points being spread among the judge's choice for the next best four cars.
The second-place getters were the Toyobaru twins with 318 votes, the surprise being they didn't beat or get any closer to the crossover. The Subaru BRZ did claw some mojo back, earning the Special Award given to cars that have made "an exceptional impact." The BMW 3 Series was third overall and won the Import Car of the Year award with plenty of room between it and the second place Range Rover Evoque.
