Clean Carfax 105k Miles Navigation Dvd Roof Rack Panoramic Roof Running Boards on 2040-cars
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
This 2006 Rover is fully loaded with a full panoramic glass roof with sunroof, leather seats, DVD player mounted in the roof, and two monitors in the rear seats. 6 disk cd changer with premium hi-line sound system from LandRover. It has bluetooth calling, Navigation, as well as running boards and a roof rack.
It was just fully serviced & inspected at LandRover with the completion of the scheduled 105,000 service which included new spark plugs, filters, cleaning of the MAF and throttle body, and oil change. This was a $1200 service. It also has new tires that have about 5000 miles on them. The Suspension Compressor was also fully serviced with a new dryer, as these are known issues on these cars. Only issue I have had with the truck is one of the door lock actuators went bad and had to be replaced. This is a Clean Carfax Rover with the body in excellent condition. There are some knicks and small dings as this is a 2006. Interior is as nice as you will find with leather seats in great condition. It is the SE model trim with V8 engine with 105,600 miles. Please contact me if you'd like to see the Rover in person or if you would like to make an appointment to have it inspected locally. Serious inquiries only, and please no low ball offers. |

Jaguar opens new engine plant in the UK
Thu, 30 Oct 2014The heads of Jaguar Land Rover are having a busy couple of weeks opening factories. Just days after inaugurating the company's first overseas plant in China, the automaker's new Engine Manufacturing Center in the UK is being inaugurated, as well. The plant near Wolverhampton, England, marks the first time in decades that JLR is building its own powerplants in-house. Further signaling the importance of this launch for the business, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were on hand and even tweeted about it.
The factory's first major project is to build JLR's latest Ingenium four-cylinders, starting with the 2.0-liter diesel version. "Our new Engine Manufacturing Centre is an important step in advancing the competitiveness and capability of the UK automotive sector. The production of in-house engines will support the expansion of the UK supply chain providing critical mass for inward investment," said Trevor Leeks, plant operations director in the automaker's announcement.
Opening the doors to the Engine Manufacturing Center has been years in the making for JLR. The plant was first announced in September 2011 and broke ground in June 2012. Building it cost the company 500 million pounds ($800 million) and created 1,400 new jobs. Of course, being a state-of-the-art factory, considerations were made to make the place as energy efficient as possible. That meant installing the UK's largest solar array with 21,000 panels to produce about 30 percent of the site's electricity needs.
Brabus takes on Range Rover Sport with Startech widebody kit
Wed, 26 Feb 2014Of all the tuners this side of AMG, none are as close to Mercedes-Benz as Brabus. After all, when Daimler needed a tuner to spruce up the Smart car, it was Brabus that it turned to. But Brabus tunes vehicles other than Mercedes - it just uses, let's call it, a pen name. It brands them Startech, like the widebody kit it's developed for the new Range Rover Sport and will present at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The modifications center around the carbon fiber body panels Brabus (excuse us, Startech) has developed for the British sport-ute that give it over two inches of added width. The wider fender flares encompass 23-inch wheels that are forged, ceramic-coated, skinned with low-profile rubber and fitted to a lowered suspension. The front and rear bumpers have been redone in plastic and can be fitted with or without the wider fenders, and there's a three-piece roof spoiler at the back.
Startech is also offering an upgrade for the 3.0-liter twin-turbo-diesel V6 that squeezes out an extra 31 horsepower and 59 pound-feet of torque for a total of 323 hp and 501 lb-ft, dropping the 0-62 time from 7.2 seconds to 6.9. The German tuner also has a wide array of interior modifications on offer, details of which you can read about in the press release below and scope out in the high-resolution image gallery above.
These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time
Fri, 25 Jul 2014Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
