This Vehicle was purchased by myself, The previous owner had it since the mid 90's and I purchased it from him he lost interest in the vehicle and I picked up where he left off. This is a very nice vhicle that just needed a little TLC. Since I purchased it all major services have been preformed and should do nicely for a new owner. I have spent quite some time fixing this car and bringing it to top working order, I have installed the offroad lights, Tires, stereo, reconditioned the paint/ leather, just made it a Nice all around vehicle for the next owner. New fuel pump, water pump thermostat, belts, plugs, wires, cap rotor.   This is an excellent example of a classic 4x4. It is fitted with ARB bumpers front and rear, working off road lights, rear light guards, All Terrain Tires, a 2'' Old man Emu lift, The interior is in superior shape with only minor cracking on the drivers seat, the rest of the seats are 100% the door panels are in excellent shape as is the dashboard and headliner. the engine compartment is clean with a new installment of heat mat. I buy these old Land rovers and do mild restorations and modifications. The condition I received the vehicle in was a great start and with some TLC I brought it to my standards. If you are looking for a Classic Daily Driver, Look no more. This is an excellent example of a classic 4x4. It is fitted with ARB bumpers front and rear working off road lights, Al Terrain Tires, a 2'' Old man Emu lift Coils, Bilstein shocks, Upgraded alloy wheels. The interior is in superior shape with only minor cracking on the drivers seat, the rest of the seats are 100% the door panels are in excellent shape as is the dashboard and headliner. the engine compartment is clean with a fresh installment of heat shield. There are no major flaws and the only thing that is currently wrong with it is the coolant light comes off and on intermittently due to a short in the sending unit. I will most likely have that fixed by the time it sells. This is a very nice Truck with lots of time out into it recently.

Jaguar demanding customer data from reluctant dealers

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

Nearly every major business is collecting consumer data these days, and keeping that data secure has come to the forefront of many customer's minds. Jaguar Land Rover North America's decision to begin requesting more customer info from its dealer network appears unfortunately timed, however. If it had come a few years ago, it might have been ignored, but in today's climate of heightened awareness, a few dealers are pushing back. To put the showrooms in an even tougher position, JLR NA is threatening to deny quarterly incentives if they do not turn over the customer data, according to Automotive News.
JLR NA instated the nationwide plan, which it calls Single View CRM, on February 7, but according to Stuart Schorr, Jaguar Land Rover North America Vice President of Communications, the automaker has been negotiating with its dealers to institute the new program for over a year. Schorr tells Autoblog that no financial information is being shared, noting that such data is limited to customer details, including things like what vehicles they own and whether they have any pending service. The initiative is meant to "improve customers' and owners' engagement with the brand," he said. Also, the company is not accessing dealer data itself; instead showrooms are asked to enter the info into JLR's database.

Jaguar Land Rover building new Special Vehicle Operations facility

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

It's only been a couple of months since Jaguar Land Rover announced the formation of its new Special Operations division, and we've already seen a number of vehicles to come out of it. But now the British automaker has announced a new facility that will house its elite skunkworks department.
Set to be built at Prologis Park in Ryton, England, on the outskirts of Coventry, the new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre will encompass dedicated production lines, F1-style flexible workshops, a dedicated paint studio and VIP suite for commissioning bespoke projects. JLR will spend some $33 million on the facility that will be home to 150 specialists - 100 of them being new hires.
The first project which the Special Operations division is working on is the F-Type Project 7, but we've already seen more projects in the pipeline - including the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR - and you can bet there'll be more. The revival of the Lightweight E-Type also falls under Special Operations, but is undertaken by the Jaguar Heritage department located nearby at Browns Lane.

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships

Thu, 29 Nov 2012

Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
