Lexus Ct200h on 2040-cars
Chevy Chase, Maryland, United States
Grey 2012 Lexus CT 200h Selling because this car won't fit a car seat very well, so we are upgrading to a little bigger car. I am original owner and purchased two years ago. Otherwise, I would never let this car go. The car is in great shape and the interior is practically new. The exterior is also in amazing shape aside from a typical cosmetic scratches on the bumpers from city living. I have gotten two quotes to fix the bumper scratches, one was for $200/bumper and one was for $700. We have never missed a service and take great care of our cars. The car gets between 39-44 MPG depending on driving style. It currently has Yakima roof racks that are negotiable if you want. Its a premium model without the the navigation. We actually waited to find this model because we all have navigation on our phones and didn't like the Lexus designed interface. Traction control Stability Control ABS (4-wheel) Keyless Entry Keless Start Power windows, locks and driver seat Cruise Control Multi Disc Bluetooth XM ready Backup Cameral Heated Leather Seats Moon Roof Cool Daytime Running Lights Serious buyers only. I can send more pictures if you would like. Certified check only. Local delivery only. |

Production Lexus NX leaked in Jim Lentz presentation?
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Before kicking off the Detroit Auto Show, the Society of Automotive Analysts had Toyota CEO Jim Lentz come on stage to say some words about the future of the auto industry, as well as what's coming for Toyota. While this type of information would normally stay off our radar, a video of his speech likely gives us our first look - albeit low-res - at the production version of the Lexus NX compact crossover.
In the video recorded by AmericaJR, Lentz refers to the turbocharged LF-NX Concept that was on display at the Tokyo Motor Show, but comparing this image to our gallery from Tokyo, there are clear differences between the two vehicles. These include the toned-down shape of the spindle grille, lower fascia crease and door mirrors as well as a headlight design that more closely resembles that of the 2014 IS sedan and the newly introduced RC coupe. From what we can see of the rest of this image, the NX should retain some of the LF-NX's angular side body creases. The vehicle you see above basically looks ready for production.
If this is in fact the NX, then reports of a Geneva debut for the luxury crossover seem even more accurate. The entire video is posted below, but the NX comes on screen around the 10:40 mark.
Lexus' LFA Works now making carbon fiber bicycles... kind of
Tue, 16 Jul 2013The LFA Works that produced the Lexus LFA hasn't had too much to do since the 500th example of the V10 supercar left the plant on December 15, 2012. So what are a bunch of carbon fiber experts meant to do with their time when they have some of the world's most advanced CFRP machinery but no engine to wrap it with? Why, make a bicycle, of course - and not just any bicycle, but the kind that costs one million Japanese yen ($10,000 US) and of which only 100 will be made.
Only they didn't really "make" it - the carbon fiber frame was sourced from Takumi, in Taiwan. On the face of it that's a shame, but it makes sense; when you've got a company like McLaren assisting bike manufacturer Specialized produce a road bike, it's clear that 'pushies' have got so advanced that a company can't just hop in and mold a $10K bike in six months. Beyond that frame it's got a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 group with electronic shifters, and it weighs 15 pounds.
However, the Lexus crafstmen did polish each frame for three hours, and the bike is said to embody the "principles and philosophy" of the supercar, while the brochure for the bike says it represents "a new chapter in Lexus history." That chapter is still all about rarity, though, since there's only one bike headed for Canada and two for the US.
Lexus LF-C2 Concept shows polarizing looks are here to stay
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Well, that's one question answered. When Lexus released the first teaser for its LF-C2 Concept, we figured it'd be one of two things - either it'd be a convertible based on the LF-LC Concept car or it'd be a thinly veiled concept version of the RC Convertible. Turns out, it's kind of both.
The LF-LC styling straddles the wilder, concepty looks of the LF-LC and the still wild, but more grounded, looks of the RC. That doesn't mean it's not a polarizing piece of design, with Lexus styling trademarks like the dominating spindle grille and separate LED running lights. Lexus' knife-edge cuts and folds in the bodywork have been toned down relative to past concepts, but the overall look here, particularly in the rear fenders, is rather busy.
"The LF-C2 concept shows what's in store for our brand's future design direction," Lexus boss Jeff Bracken said. "This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus' devotion to emotional designs as well as our passion for an exceptional driving experience."
