2003 Lexus Is300 Base Sedan 4-door 3.0l A Good Fixer Upper Or Salvage Vehicle on 2040-cars
Loveland, Ohio, United States
Its a good fixer upper car or salvage vehicle for parts. It does need some TLC. The lexus has had 2 owners. It was bought certified preowned. The starter and rear engine seal was replaced by lexus in April. I replaced hoses, spark plugs, coils, and valves myself in April. It has been a family vehicle. We are selling it because we need something bigger. It's a sports sedan. The front seats are torn, the paint is peeling, and the bumpers need to be replaced (everything can be seen in the images). It's a lexus, its a dependable vehicle. The engine has been well maintained with oil changes and maintenance. It's had its 100,000 miles maintenance by lexus. If I drive the vehicle more than 40 miles it will smoke white; this started the end of May. I believe it needs a new cadillac converter and oxygen sensors. The check engine light is on and because of that the track off/on (traction light) is blinking. Will ship the vehicle to you for extra. I am willing to drive it to you if you are within 45 miles of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Lexus RC media event in Japan canceled over lack of interest
Fri, 07 Nov 2014It's a good thing senior editor Seyth Miersma doesn't live in Japan, or he wouldn't have been able to snap a photo like the one you see here, of a fresh-off-the-line Lexus RC F on hand at a first drive for media. That's because Toyota's Japanese arm has outright canceled its RC press launch. Sure, we've heard about events being delayed, but canceled? That's rare. Even worse is the reason: according to Automotive News, the event was nixed due to lack of interest. Wow.
In an email to media, Lexus said the event "has been canceled due to insufficient attendance," according to AN. The News posits that perhaps it would have just been better to hold the event anyway, in an attempt to save face, and that this is another example of the Japanese culture (especially youth) becoming less and less interested in cars. Of course, there's also the thought that local media just didn't want to drive out to Yokohama to drive the RC on a not-so-sexy press launch, which, if you ask us, is an incredibly lame excuse (do your jobs, folks!).
Either way, will this bode well for the Lexus RC's public launch? Will it receive the same lukewarm response when it arrives at Japanese dealers? We'll see.
What's in a trademark? Sometimes, the next iconic car name
Thu, 07 Aug 2014
The United States Patent and Trademark Office is a treasure trove for auto enthusiasts, especially those who double as conspiracy theorists.
Why has Toyota applied to trademark "Supra," the name of one of its legendary sports cars, even though it hasn't sold one in the United States in 16 years? Why would General Motors continue to register "Chevelle" long after one of the most famous American muscle cars hit the end of the road? And what could Chrysler possibly do with the rights to "313," the area code for Detroit?
Lexus reveals production RC coupe en route to Tokyo
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Feast your eyes, ladies and gentlemen, on the new Lexus RC coupe. With the exception of the six-figure LFA supercar, it's the first stand-alone two-door model to come from Toyota's premium brand since the demise of the SC, and it's coming to the Tokyo Motor Show later this month.
With unmistakably Japanese styling, the Lexus RC is clearly inspired by the LF-CC and LF-LC concepts, and features the brand's signature spindle grille. Anyone who's been inside a contemporary Lexus should feel right at home inside the four-seat cabin, where the Japanese automaker has fitted ambient lighting that glows upwards instead of down, coupled with a new Remote Touch Interface.
Lexus has already announced two versions of the coupe: the conventional RC350 with a 3.5-liter gasoline engine and the RC300h with a 2.5-liter hybrid setup. It's all packed into a form that, for comparison's sake, is slightly larger than the new BMW 4 Series but markedly smaller (in every dimension but height) than a 6 Series.
