2003 Lexus IS300 Sportcross

You are bidding on a used 2003 Lexus IS300 Sportcross wagon with only 53,506 miles.  This vehicle has very low miles for a 2003.  It looks and smells new.  It does have a few scratches and paint chips, but I could not find one dent in the entire body.  It has new (less than 7,000 miles) brakes and tires.  The brakes are as smooth as new, absolutely zero vibration when stopping.  The tires are top of the line all season Goodyear Eagle GT's.  Here are a few key points:

  • HID auto leveling headlights with auto on/off
  • 9 speaker stereo system with sub woffer and in dash 6 disc CD player (sounds great)
  • Leather and suede seating.  Heated front seats with 8 way adjustable positioning
  • Cruise control
  • Power sunroof
  • Keyless entry ( 2 keys)
  • Silky smooth inline 3.0 6 cylinder engine
  • Smooth shifting 5 speed automatic with push button shifters on the steering wheel

This is an amazing IS300 you will not be disappointed with.  The engine is silky smooth and the transmission shifts perfectly.  It really feels like a new Lexus.

There is a bit of curb rash on 2 of the wheels (pictured) and there are 2 lights that are burned out behind the climate control that illuminate it at night.

Other than that, this Lexus is in amazing condition.  The paint is bright and vibrant, and the interior has no rips, tears, or cracks in the leather or dash.

2013 Lexus LS 600h L

Wed, 15 May 2013

I have spent the last seven days driving the Starfire Pearl (read: white) 2013 Lexus LS 600h L you see here. And after roughly 500 miles of errand-running, highway-cruising, commuting and people-schlepping, I can safely say this: I don't get it.
The LS hybrid is a nice car. It's comfortable, has every amenity you'd ever want in a luxury boat, and with its freshened appearance for 2013, it looks modern, integrating the company's new spindle grille into an overall package that's elegant. None of this is bad news. But let me explain why I still cannot wrap my head around the overall LS 600h L package:
Driving Notes

Watch an Aventador, Viper and LFA play the songs of their people

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Our friends at Road & Track recently stopped by Cars and Coffee in Irvine, California, with the 2013 SRT Viper and found themselves a place to park between a Lamborghini Aventador and a Lexus LFA. Those machines might as well be the three musketeers of ludicrous exhaust notes, and rather than keep those 24 raging cylinders muffled, R&T set about conducting an orchestra of internal combustion. On seeing these three lined up, we were more than prepared to call the Viper victorious when it came to tickling our ear drums, but the latest domestic V10 sounds down right civilized in this company.
If we're picking favorites, we have to say the LFA takes the cake. There's something about the noise of a street-legal V10 that can wrap it's tachometer all the way to 9,000 rpm that turns our knees to quivering dollops of jelly. Check out the clip below for a listen. We shouldn't need to tell you to get frisky with the volume.
