I have for sale a 2008 Lexus IS250 Sedan in Starfire Pearl. Car is certified pre-owned with a 100,000k/ 3Year warranty. This car is ONE OF A KIND with 2012 IS250 headlights installed with LED DRL's (Day time running lights) It also has a clear bra covering the front bumper, hood, and mirrors. Car has no damage and is in VERY good shape. It is very well cared for and maintenance has been done by local Lexus dealership. I recently had water pump replaced under warranty as the dealership recommended it. Car runs great with no issues. Premium fuel was always used.

Interior is clean with no stains or tears or weird smells. NEVER smoked in. Leather conditioned every 3 months. New floor mats. Interior looks spot less and brand new.

I have added HID lights to the fog lights that match the OEM HID headlights and LED running lights.

Also, I have added a Cold air intake, and will include OEM air intake.

This car has tint and front window has no cracks and is in very good shape. Due to the bra, the front of the car look practically brand new as well, I chose not to drill holes for the front license plate either, so it looks very clean and new.

Tires were put on by dealership when I purchased the car about 2 years ago, and still have a lot of tread left on them. Rims have some minor curb rashes, but nothing major.

Exterior is almost flawless except for a small dent under passenger side mirror which can be removed by Lexus for little money.

Car is being sold for price that is owed by me to Toyota. I am selling simply to get out from under the car note. I am not trying to make a profit and there is very little to no wiggle room on the price. I will do my best to work with the buyer and make sure things go as smooth as possible. If you have any questions please ask!

Lexus eschews production in China over quality concerns

Sat, 03 May 2014

One of the more popular trends in the auto industry is setting up production operations in China. Mainstream manufacturers like Ford, General Motors and Volkswagen have done it, and even luxury marques like Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have or will soon have manufacturing ops in the People's Republic.
One company that isn't building cars in China, though, is Lexus. The Toyota-owned luxury brand still manufactures all of its vehicles in Japan (aside from a few RXs, which are built at a Toyota factory in Canada). According to Tokuo Fukuichi, Lexus just isn't ready to build cars there yet.
"The German Three have a brand image that they have cultivated over the past century in their long history, but Lexus is not in people's minds like that yet," Fukuichi-san told Reuters UK.

2013 Lexus GS450h [w/video]

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

An Unlikely Star in the Lexus Stable
Think about Lexus for a second. Odds are your gray matter is busy regurgitating images of the company's middle-aged RX crossover or possibly the midsize ES sedan. As the volume movers for Toyota's luxury fleet, the two are the default ambassadors for everything with an italicized L pinned to the grille, and that's a damned shame. As the 2013 GS450h is so willing to point out, Lexus engineers are busily crafting models that offer drivers more than a safe luxury choice.
As the master of fuel-sipping battery propulsion, Lexus has brought the impressive width of Toyota hybrid engineering to bear on the GS450h. The result is a vehicle that manages to sneak its hybridness by you with buttery acceleration, stone quiet operation and brakes that don't feel like you're trying walk around the house in Velcro socks. The drivetrain doesn't feel the need to beat you over the head with its battery pack or announce to the neighborhood that you're saving the world one whispery mile at a time. Both driver and passengers get to enjoy a luxury car that just so happens to be a hybrid instead of the other way around.

Lexus, Mazda and Subaru top Consumer Reports Brand Report Cards

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

A revised methodology in devising its annual Car Brand Report Cards has seen Consumer Reports award Lexus its top overall ranking for 2013. For the first time ever, the institute broke out individual brands from their larger corporate umbrellas, meaning car makers like Lexus and Scion were judged independently from parent company Toyota. That strategy worked out well for Lexus, as the luxury brand earned a top report card score of 79 for the 2013 model year.
The institute has recommended every one of the Lexus models it has tested to date, and said that the company's products won out thanks to "a foundation of plush and very reliable vehicles."
Meanwhile, Mazda and Subaru tied for the second-highest scoring report cars, with scores of 76. Subaru earned praised for sporting models like the BRZ, which CR testers apparently had a lot of fun driving (naturally), while the Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. Both of the Japanese brands offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.
