Selling NO Reserve a beautiful 1994 LEXUS SC400 [Aluminum Engine]. The car is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition and comes with All original booklets, owners manuals and ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER.

Purchased and driven entirely in Southern California. This SC400 is equipped with virtually every option available in 1994 and sold new for nearly $49,0000.

I am the second owner and have owned this car for the last 10 years.  Virtually everything on the car as been restored or replaced. The heads/gaskets were done less than 1000 miles ago. The transmission was rebuilt in 2010 by AAMCO. The hoses, belts, starter alternator, timing belt etc. have all been replaced. As have most of the suspension parts including the struts control bushings and tie rods.

The saddle tan interior is LEATHER and was replaced several years ago [door panels are original with numerous cracks] and the stitching in the upper portions of the rear seat have begun to unravel [see pictures]. The interior also has the optional wood trim and has never been smoked in. Carpets and mats are original and in excellent condition.

The paint was redone several years ago and while is does have some chips, it still looks great. The exterior is really in very nice shape and it is also equipped with the optional rear spoiler. 18" wheels with slotted and drilled rotors front and rear. Recent alignment with 245/40ZR18 tires that have nearly full tread. The car tracks perfectly and a true pleasure do drive.

The car has never been abused and always adult driven. Oil changes completed at a maximum of 5,000 miles and there are less than 50 miles on the new batteryThe ALL ALUMINUM engine runs strong [180 compression on all cylinders] and the A/C blows nice and cold. All gauges, indicators and displays work perfectly and have all been restored within the last several years.

This LEXUS SC400 looks great, performs beautifully and gets 24 MPG Highway!

Lexus IS named Esquire Car of the Year

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Esquire holds an annual car of the year award, and for the past four years, only American or German autos, such as the Cadillac ATS and the Audi S4, have earned the publication's top pick. But for 2013, the top pick is from Japan: the 2014 Lexus IS350 F Sport. The publication calls the IS "thrilling first, responsible second."
Upon learning the top pick, we had to make sure we were still reading about a Lexus, though we admit the new IS350 F Sport is indeed a new breed, one that approaches BMW 3 Series levels of performance and handling while maintaining its Japanese identity.
Esquire appreciates the F Sport's new direction, but says, "Crucially, unlike everything else, it's not trying to be the BMW." It claims the 2013 car of the year is an "honest, gutsy, fast set of wheels."

Judge halts Toyota unintended acceleration cases, triggers time for settlement negotiations

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

So far, the lawsuits brought forth against Toyota for unintended acceleration have gone both ways: the automaker was found not at fault in a 2009 California crash and liable for a 2007 crash in Oklahoma. Both cases involved a Camry and resulted in fatalities. With a big chunk of these UA cases (around 200) set to his the docket of US District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana, California, Bloomberg is reporting that the judge has halted the lawsuits until March after Toyota and its lawyers have had extra time to try and settle the cases.
According to the article, Toyota is looking to take care of the cases out of court with an "intensive settlement process." Having already paid out $1.6 billion in "economic loss" suits, this latest settlement process is aimed at the wrongful death and personal injury cases allegedly associated with unintended acceleration. A hearing for the settlements will be held on January 14 with conferences on the matter commencing in February. There is no word as to when lawsuits may start back up if settlements can't be agreed upon.

2013 Lexus ES300h

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

The Lexus ES lineup, the brand's bread-and-butter sedan, has been completely redone for 2013. With that tip-to-tail rework comes the model's first hybrid. We think the ES350 is better in every way than its predecessor, so a spin in the ES300h is warranted to see what it's like to live with the model sure to become the best-selling Lexus hybrid sedan. In particular, we wanted to see how the gas-electric luxury cruiser handled the battery-sapping realities of winter, so we ventured out into the slush and snow to file this report.
Driving Notes:
Peel away the slush, and this car sure is sharp-looking. It strongly resembles the excellent new GS, no bad thing. With the move to the longer Toyota Avalon underpinnings, the ES300h is long and elegant. Lexus has really upped its styling game lately.
