ABSOLUTELY GREAT, SOLID AND RELIABLE TRUCK!!! I am the second owner of this Aviator. I bought it 5 years ago with 107,000 miles on it. Since then I've personally changed the oil (synthetic) between every 3000-4000 miles. I've also put new tires on last Fall. Also it has REMOTE STARTER, WIRED FOR A DOCKING SIRIUS/XM DOCKING UNIT. I've also hand waxed this truck twice a year and conditioned the leather. Just recently one of the catalytic converters went bad so I changed all 3 and all exhaust pipes from the engine manifold. Just didn't make sense to me to only change the one. Comes with two (2) sets of keys with factory fobs and two (2) remotes for the starter. All manuals are also in the glove compartment.

Only thing wrong.... The shifter sometimes sticks in the Parked gear. Dealership says that purchasing a Solenoid would correct this. So I went ahead and purchased the part and it will be included. I just chose to leave it as is ever since I bought it and considered it an extra anti-theft device :-)

This is honestly one of the STRONGEST RUNNING and CLEANEST Aviators you will find. The Actual mileage right now is 139,200 and I do drive this daily to and from work. Also, if you're wondering why I'm selling it, I have 4 vehicles and it's just taking up too much space. Thanks for looking. Also, involved in NO ACCIDENTS/FLOODING or anything of the sorts.

Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around

Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.

NHTSA will investigate some Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ models for power steering issue

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening an investigation into the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ, the 2012 MKZ Hybrid and 2011 Mercury Milan because the agency has hundreds of complaints of electric power steering failure in these models.
According to NHTSA's data, it has received 508 complaints of the power steering allegedly suddenly malfunctioning and resulting in increased effort to turn the wheel. In four incidents, these failures resulted in loss of control and crashes. According to the reports, in some cases a power steering warning message came on as the fault occurred, and other times the system restored itself by turning off and then restarting the vehicle. NHTSA said it has also received further field report data from Ford, but that information hasn't been publicly released yet.
For the moment, there isn't a recall for this failure on these models. NHTSA is just investigating them to "assess the scope, frequency and safety consequences of the alleged defect," and the agency says an estimated 938,000 vehicles could potentially be affected.

Ellen DeGeneres sends up Matthew McConaughey's Lincoln ad

Lincoln had to have known that when it released its new ad campaign for the new MKC with Matthew McConaughey, it would open itself up to a bit of good old fashioned ridicule. The television commercial was, after all, good for a laugh or two. And true to their mission, talk show hosts haven't missed the opportunity to have a little fun at Lincoln's and McConaughey's expense.
Conan O'Brien was first to send up the television spot, but now Ellen DeGeneres has taken a stab at it too, superimposing herself in the back seat of the compact luxury crossover, downing some pot brownies and generally playing Costello to McConaughey's Abbott. It's worth a watch, if only to see Ellen getting down in her usual, offbeat style.
