The car needs a owner that can take care of the car. It needs love and care. The vehicle has very minimul rust.

I purchased the car thinking I could restore it. lost my job recently and need the money.

-Lots of spare parts

-  needs eletrical windows put back together

- very minimal rust

- great interior

- will be sold as is

- needs engine work very minimal

- the convertible roof has been diccounected - but has new cylinders

- I am not a mechanic so the car is as is.

- the owner will need to find there own transportation of car

Same model featured in countless movies from early James Bond to the recent TV series "Entourage". It's a legendary ride with the characteristic topless look and suicide doors, 1965 is a unique in body style, featuring front and back bench seats, linear dashboard, disk brakes, chrome caged tail lights all designed for this year alone. Odometer is 25,000 miles, needs some re wiring. - Needs some body work, a bit of rust under the doors is common on all 60' Lincoln Continental Convertible due to drainage design flaws, .. Anyway it needs a good paint job, who ever will do the job can easily take care of the body work. I have an original manual and some documentation on mechanical work in the past 15 years,?tons of Lincoln membership magazines. You don't have to be an expert collector to understand the value of this car, fully restored can fetch $40,000 - $50,000

Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy

Sun, 31 Aug 2014

Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).

What will the next Presidential limo look like?

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

With recent news that the Secret Service has begun soliciting proposals for a new armored limousine, we've been wondering what the next presidential limo might look like. The current machine, nicknamed "The Beast", has a design based on a car that's no longer sold: the Cadillac DTS. If General Motors gets the job again, which wouldn't be a surprise considering the government still owns a chunk of the company, the next limo's shape would likely resemble the new XTS (below, left). But Cadillac hasn't always been the go-to car company for presidential whips.
Lincoln has actually provided far more presidential limousines throughout history than Cadillac. In fact, the first car modified for Commander-in-Chief-carrying duty was a 1939 Lincoln K-Series called "Sunshine Special" used by Franklin D. Roosevelt, and the last Lincoln used by a president was a 1989 Town Car ordered for George H.W. Bush. If President Obama wanted a Lincoln today, it would likely be an amalgam of the MKS sedan and MKT crossover, as illustrated above.
And what about Chrysler? The only record we could find of a President favoring the Pentastar is Nixon, who reportedly ordered two limos from the company during his administration in the '70s, and then another one, known today as the "K-Car limo," in the '80s after he left office. Obama, however, has a personal - if modest - connection to Chryslers, having owned a 300 himself before he took office. A 300-based Beast (above, right) would certainly earn the U.S. some style points.

Lincoln needs a farewell address, not a new marketing plan

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

The trouble with Ford's Lincoln brand is that no one cares about it any more.
Not long after I heard that Mark LaNeve, chief operating officer of Ford agency Team Detroit, was moving to take over direct operations of the New York ad agency Hudson Rouge for Lincoln, I heard that JCPenney CEO Ron Johnson was ousted. The two events are connected.
