Absolutely stunning and amazingly elegant 1977 Lincoln Continental 4-Door Town Sedan with 43,000 actual original two owner miles!!

While the 1977 Cadillac Fleetwood and deville s were down sized Lincoln chose to keep it's cars on a large wheel base platform for three more years!!

This amazing classic luxury motor car is a pleasure to drive.  It is effortlessly powered by a 460-4v V8 motor.  The car is riding on a 127.2 inch wheelbase and an overall length of 233 inches.  This beautiful example of what I believe to be the most elegant design of a 1970's Lincoln Continental is White with a rich deep blue interior.  This car has one of the most noticeable of all Lincoln grills and is the last year the Continental had fender skirts.  The car is fitted with wide white walls.

The car features it's original full vinyl roof with opera windows and factory power glass moonroof and lighted coach lights.  Twin comfort lounge seats with six way power passenger seat and recliner.  Premium body side mouldings. Custom paint stripes. Power vent windows.  remote control right side mirror.  Speed Control.  Tilt Steering wheel.  Power door locks and trunk release.  Illuminated entry system.  Interior light group - map lights and illuminated vanity mirrors.  Tinted glass. Dual tone horn.  Automatic temperature heating and a/c.  Cut pile carpeting.  Cartier Signed digital clock. Trip odometer with reset button. Front and rear seat armrest.
AM/FM 8-track stereo.  Car has the factory owner initial plates on dash and door.  Your initials can be added by any sign shop in the three little blocks.

This car was ordered by its original owner whose family retained ownership of the car until 2012 when the current owner was able to aquire the car.  The car is all original and is in outstanding condition.  The current owner had been searching for a 1977 Lincoln Continental for years and believes he found the best color combination plus the rare Power Glass Moonroof option make this a highly desireable 70's era Lincoln.

I am selling this spectacular car because my daughter is getting married this fall and the cost of the wedding requires selling a few of my collector cars. The pictures of this car are a extremely fair representation of the car.  In fact, they may not due it justice. This car can be shown and driven with pride.  It is an eye-catcher wherever it is driven.

The car is sold in "as/is - where/is" condition and there are no warranties expressed or implied.  All transportation and shipping cost are the responsibility of the buyer.  This is a legitimate and binding auction.  Please do not bid on this car if you are new to Ebay or if you have negative feedback without first contacting seller.  Please do not bid on this car unless you are able and intend to pay for it at auctions close.

The car is located in McDonough, Georgia which is 25 miles south of Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport.  Fly in and drive it home.

Lincoln to adopt Mini-like personalization strategy?

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

There's no single silver bullet that will cure all that ails the Lincoln brand, and Ford knows that just as surely as we do. Coming out with exciting new models like the well-received MKC crossover counts as several steps in the right direction, assuming of course that the production version is as appealing as the concept just shown at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, but more is needed. According to Jim Farley, executive vice president of Lincoln, one more trick may be "mass customization."
Put another way, Lincoln is considering ways to allow buyers to customize their new vehicles right off the showroom floor, similar to how things are done at Mini, and, to a lesser extent, Scion, where Farley previously served as corporate manager. Imagine, for instance, ordering a new MKC with a large Lincoln insignia embossed into the leather seatbacks, according to Automotive News.
While we're not so sure anybody is all that interested in paying extra for more Lincoln logos, it's a strategy that has proven rather fruitful at Mini. Only time will tell if Ford's erstwhile luxury division will once again be seen as something truly worth reaching for, and if customers are willing to pay a further premium for customization.

2015 Lincoln MKC priced from $33,995* [w/poll]

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

Looking to build on the momentum it struggled to establish with the MKZ, Lincoln recently unveiled the production version of its all-new MKC last month at the LA Auto Show. With a proven platform shared with the Ford Escape and striking design, the 2015 Lincoln MKC goes on sale next summer ready to take on the ever-expanding world of luxury compact crossovers. Breaking into this new segment, Lincoln has priced the MKC aggressively as one of the least-expensive offerings in its class, starting at $33,995 (*including destination charges).
At that price, the 2015 MKC costs a little bit more than a fully loaded 2014 Ford Escape Titanium and is just slightly less costly than the Acura RDX and Volvo XC60. More importantly, it's thousands less than Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes GLK-Class. The MKC will be offered in three trim levels for now - there is still no more information about Lincoln's new Black Label products - ranging from the base Premiere up to the range-topping Reserve.
The Premiere will come standard with features like active grille shutters, push-button start, remote start, dual-zone climate control and heated front seats, while the midgrade Select starts at $37,225 and adds upgraded 18-inch wheels, ambient lighting, daytime running lights and a steering wheel featuring Wollsdorf leather. The top-shelf Reserve trim level starts at $40,930 and brings even more luxury features including the panoramic roof, navigation, cooled front seats and wifi access.

Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
