EBAY IS NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD THE HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOGRAPHS OF THIS CAR. EMAIL ME FOR AN ALBUM CONTAINING NEARLY 100 PICS SHOWING EVERY ASPECT OF THE VEHICLE. This car has undergone an extensive reconditioning in the 5 years I have owned it and has been driven 810 miles in that time. Originally from northern Kentucky, it was rust-free when I purchased it. Options: embassy roof, WSW tires, leather seating, tilt steering wheel, power vent windows, power door locks, AM/FM radio with power antenna, automatic temperature control, tinted glass, floor mats. Mechanical upgrades: rebuilt transmission at 60,726 miles, replaced spark plugs, points, condenser, distributor cap, wires, fuel filter, new carburetor with electric choke, relined gas tank with new fuel sending unit, fuel lines, brake lines and hoses, master cylinder, silicone brake fluid conversion, valve cover gaskets, thermostat, battery & cables, hoses, belts, air cleaner, water junction block, fan clutch, distributor lead wire, recored radiator & heater core, rebuilt fuel pump, alternator, water pump, new heater valve, power steering filter, washer reservoir bag, rebuilt washer pump, oiled blower fan, new timing chain & gears, air conditioning compressor & dryer, complete dual exhaust from engine on back (Waldron's Exhaust, whisper quiet), rebuilt steering gear, new center drag link, transmission pan seal, voltage regulator, rear wheel cylinders, spark plugs, power steering hose, starter solenoid, rebuilt window safety relay, new ignition switch, new heater control valve. Exterior: $8,000 base coat-clear coat paint in original color, all chrome replated including bumpers, door handles, roof belt line, all pot metal. New reproduction hood ornament. NOS quarter panel Continental scripts, fender stars, front turn signal lenses, NOS trunk lock cover, NOS quarter panel end reflectors. New windshield. Turn signal and taillight pods were sandblasted and repainted with highly reflective coating and new lens gaskets were fabricated. Rocker moldings professionally polished. A new SMS vinyl roof with correct grain and Ford White color was installed. Interior: fresh sound deadener & insulation, front seat bottom foam replaced, all light bulbs replaced including instrument cluster, new trunk carpeting. Power seat track reconditioned. Clock serviced, keeping original works. AM/FM radio rebuilt and new speakers front and rear (2 in rear) were installed. Rubber: 5 new factory-correct L78-15 bias ply tires with 1 inch whitewalls, new trunk weatherstripping, rear splashguard, rear bumper end V's, both roof rails, bottom-of-door drain slots HVAC: Automatic temperature control system upgraded to the more reliable 1967 design, including new control buttons, rheostat, master control unit, sensors, etc. Three months ago, the compressor & dryer were replaced and everything worked properly. In May 2013, the car had an oil change, grease job & coolant flush and has been driven 75 miles since. Faults: The transmission seeps a little when sitting. The dashboard turn signal indicator implies a left turn no matter which direction the turn signal stalk is pushed -- either up or down. However, the exterior bulbs flash in the desired direction. It may be a relay, but I do not know. If a deal is struck, the paperwork required by the State of Michigan will be filled out correctly and with the actual amount of the transaction. Title skippers will not be tolerated.

Next Lincoln Navigator to drop V8 in favor of V6, but Ford Expedition might get both
Tue, 12 Mar 2013A great many buyers fled from full-size body-on-frame SUVs to car-based crossovers in large measure to save fuel. But that doesn't mean there's still not a buying audience for more traditional truck-based utility vehicles, and those consumers doubtlessly wouldn't mind saving some dollars at the pump, too. According to Motor Trend, those shoppers might be in luck.
That's because the magazine has confirmed that Ford isn't walking away from the full-size SUV segment, and it's poised to do something about its offerings' economy ratings, too. According to MT, global Lincoln director Matt VanDyke has hinted that the next Navigator may drop two cylinders and go with a V6 model - the current model gets just 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway from its 5.4-liter V8. The obvious fitment would be Ford's 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, an engine that has spread like kudzu throughout the rest of the Blue Oval's large vehicle lineup.
Downsized turbocharged engines like Ford's EcoBoost franchise have come under fire as of late for not delivering their EPA fuel economy ratings, but their benefits extend beyond consumption - the 3.5L offers superior power and a better torque curve than the naturally aspirated V8. MT also suggests that Ford's 3.7-liter V6 could form the base engine for the next Navi - it has similar horsepower but a lot less torque than the current 5.4L. That may be less of a problem with the next generation tipped to go on a diet, which could level the playing field somewhat.
NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs
Mon, 11 Mar 2013It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.
