For Sale Lincoln Ls 2003. I originally bought the Ls for $900.00 and I have paid 450.00 in registration and title fees. The car at purchase had front end driver side damage and would need a new bumper and head light. That is the cosmetic needs under the hood a new upper radiator hose casing is needed and under neath the car possibly a catalytic converter. It sits on a spare tire but i have all four rims and tires. Also the back wind shield and passenger window are missing It has 278,000 miles on it . All the registration is paid up till august of this year and it needs to be smog. I bought it with the intentions of putting $500.00-$700.00 immediately into the car and would have had a very nice vehicle. Unfortunately life has not gone the direction hoped and i cant seem to get the couple of dollars needed. At this point I think selling it and buying a easier vehicle for a single mom is best. If interested please contact Leanne @(916 )370-8823 An attempt to steal the vehicle. Left it not running without replacing the starter. That is why I reduced asking price from $900-$600. That price is firm.

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch
Tue, 16 Jul 2013A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.
Never mind the naysayers; Lincoln is worth saving
Fri, 10 Jan 2014
In the case of Henry Leland, naming his new car brand after the first President he cast a vote for in 1864 seemed a jolly good idea, on paper.
You should always be careful about the name you choose to give your new baby. The power of association can work in many ways, not always positive.
Ford Q3 pretax profits drop to $1.18B
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Following positive third quarter financial results recently from General Motors, rival Ford took a tumble in Q3. The automaker posted pre-tax profits of $1.18 billion, compared to about $2.59 billion in Q3 2013, a drop of around 54 percent. Net income also suffered with $835 million made in the quarter, versus $1.272 billion last year, a decline of about 34 percent. The Blue Oval blamed the gloomy figures on three reasons in its release: "lower volume, higher warranty costs and adverse balance sheet exchange effects."
There were problems of one kind or another in practically every region. North America experienced higher warranty costs than expected, partially due to recalls. The sales volume for the quarter was 665,000 units, versus 725,000 in Q3 2013, and pre-tax results amounted to $1.41 billion versus $2.296 billion last year.
South America and Europe both posted worse pre-tax results than last year. On the bright side, European volume was up slightly to 321,000 vehicles, from 303,000 in Q3 2013. The Middle East and Africa also lost $15 million, but that was an improvement compared to the $25 million loss previously experienced in this region.
