This MKZ was purchased by us in it's current condition with a New York State salvage repairable certificate per water damage. This vehicle was involved in a fresh water flood.  The paperwork is filled out with "not actual miles" but actually has 15,089 miles . It will have to pass a salvage inspection before being able to be put on the road. Please read our description below.  All of our project cars are sold "as is" with no warranty expressed or implied.  We sell everything we list and always selling with No Reserve.

Condition - We will do our best to visually describe what this vehicle requires. There is no way to determine exactly what a vehicle needs to bring it back until one gets into the actual project of repairing it so please understand that our description very well may not and probably won't list everything that needs to be done. Now as to this vehicle:

exterior - The vehicles exterior is in excellent condition besides some scratches on the rear bumper cover. All the rims and glass are in excellent shape. The matching tires are Michelin (225/50/17) all having about 60-70% tread remaining.

drive train - This vehicle does run and drive but sometimes the security light will blink in the dash and cause the vehicle not to start(we believe the vehicle needs a body control module). When the vehicle is running, the battery light is on in the dash so the alternator may be bad. There is NO water present in the engine or transmission.

interior- The interior is in great condition but power locks and seats are inoperative and we are unable to take the key out of the ignition. Also, the seats have some spots of discoloration.

A 10% deposit of the final price is due within three days of the close of the auction.  The balance due is required within 7 days from the close of the auction and must be in the form of a bank wire transfer or cashiers check. 

By law, tax must be collected from New York State residents.

Regency Motors reserves the right to close an auction at any time.

MKC Concept is the real fresh start for Lincoln [w/poll]

We were admittedly bullish about the Lincoln MKC Concept when we introduced it to you yesterday, as we were taken aback by how cohesive the C-platform crossover is in the metal. As it turns out, so were you, dear reader. With hundreds of comments booked on our original Deep Dive story, the overwhelming temperature of the Autoblog Commenteriat is one of surprise and delight - quite an accomplishment for a marque that many had written off for dead. The reception here under the bright lights of the Detroit Auto Show appears to be no less positive, but we thought you might want a second, closer look afforded by these live photos.
Lincoln remains mum on production MKC drivetrain specifics (we're thinking it will start with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder out of its similarly sized Ford Escape relative, or maybe the midlevel 1.6-liter), but we shouldn't have to wait too long. The showcar is expected to closely mirror the production model (due as early as later this year), so much so that Ford global marketing boss Jim Farley explicitly told the press conference masses, "When you see the MKC, do not think concept." That's good news, as the MKC is pivotal to Lincoln's effort to rebuild awareness and consideration on the back of its MKZ sedan, a model just now going on sale. In fact, with the small crossover segment exploding, the MKC could very well turn out to be more important to the brand than the MKZ.

2002 Lincoln Continental concept should've made production, headed for auction instead

It seems like the retro design aesthetic in autos might be petering out, with even a former poster child like the Ford Mustang taking a step in a more modern direction. Sometimes those updates of old-school models really worked well, though. Just take a look above at the Lincoln Continental concept from 2002 that took the extruded shape of the 1960s version and updated it for the new millennium.
Now there's a chance for this gorgeous concept to take a spot in your garage, as RM Auctions is selling it as part of a 130-plus-car, no-reserve auction of the Sam Pack Collection on November 14 and 15, in Dallas, TX. Among the lots for sale are a number of Fords, including several recent concepts from the brand. "My collecting philosophy is simple: buy what I like, but always with an emphasis on quality," Pack said in the auction announcement.
The Continental concept absolutely nails the mix of modern and retro. Its perfectly crisp lines make the shape appear hewn from a single piece of metal, and there's just the slightest ornamentation with the angled, chrome slats in the grille and chrome strips over the wheel arches. It even retains the suicide doors from its inspiration.

2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo

The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.
