1989 Lincoln Mark Vii Extremely Low Mileage!!! on 2040-cars
Glendale, California, United States
This vehicle was purchased from the original owner. Literally a "little old lady from Pasadena" car. Has less than 27,000 original miles. New tires, new battery, new Kenwood sound system with all the bells and whistles (bluetooth, Pandora, HF phone, USB etc.). I have all new emblems and Fox fog lights. When I purchased it I had all the fluids and oils changed out. Since the original driver never went very far, the condensation in the exhaust system never had a chance to evaporate causing the mufflers and pipes to rust. I installed a new exhaust system with Flow Master mufflers. Probably forgetting a bunch of stuff. Don't really want to sell this ride but Uncle Sam bent me over and I need to sell this to pay taxes. I guess someone has to pay for Social Security for those just entering our fine country!

Lincoln says MKZ supply crisis over
Mon, 25 Mar 2013After an excessive number of recalls on the 2013 Escape and Fusion, we can't really fault Ford for being a little extra cautious with the launch of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Last month, we reported that dealer supply of the car was extremely limited due to more attention being paid to quality checks of cars rolling off the assembly line, which led to a 73-percent drop in MKZ sales from last year on top of a 32-year low in monthly sales for Lincoln in January.
The reason for the delay was that the sedans were being shipped from the Hermosillo, Mexico assembly plant to be inspected even closer at Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan plant before they were able to head to dealers. Things seem to be straightening out for Lincoln and the MKZ's production now, as Automotive News is reporting that supply should be up to a "normal level" by the end of this month.
2002 Lincoln Continental concept should've made production, headed for auction instead
Fri, 26 Sep 2014It seems like the retro design aesthetic in autos might be petering out, with even a former poster child like the Ford Mustang taking a step in a more modern direction. Sometimes those updates of old-school models really worked well, though. Just take a look above at the Lincoln Continental concept from 2002 that took the extruded shape of the 1960s version and updated it for the new millennium.
Now there's a chance for this gorgeous concept to take a spot in your garage, as RM Auctions is selling it as part of a 130-plus-car, no-reserve auction of the Sam Pack Collection on November 14 and 15, in Dallas, TX. Among the lots for sale are a number of Fords, including several recent concepts from the brand. "My collecting philosophy is simple: buy what I like, but always with an emphasis on quality," Pack said in the auction announcement.
The Continental concept absolutely nails the mix of modern and retro. Its perfectly crisp lines make the shape appear hewn from a single piece of metal, and there's just the slightest ornamentation with the angled, chrome slats in the grille and chrome strips over the wheel arches. It even retains the suicide doors from its inspiration.
