Up for sale is a 1969 Lincoln Mark III with rare Tahoe Turquoise paint.. She is a low mileage original car with around 81,000 well cared for miles. Equipped with power windows, auto dimming headlamps, power seats,and all the luxury expected in a Lincoln. This car has been maintained, serviced and the 460 engine starts perfectly. The underside of the vehicle is in great condition and no rust can be found anywhere. The chrome, paint, and vinyl top looks great. Here are the things that are keeping the car from being perfect: a few burn holes in the upholstery, the trim around the left quarter glass has some pitting and there is a small chip in the right door that has been touched up. Lincoln video teases new things to come... but what?
Sun, 02 Dec 2012Lincoln has released a new video teasing... something. In what looks to be an advertisement for more advertising, the company has worked up a clip featuring everything from a drum solo and a flying hawk to Abraham Lincoln himself. The video shows a few shots of what looks to be an MKZ and promises more news is coming on Monday.
What does the company have up its sleeves? Rumors are bouncing around the web like so many ill-informed ping-pong balls, and cover everything from an alternative powertrain for the MKZ to a new two-door model - noise that is underscored by the presence of a Ford Mustang chassis lurking in the background of the video around the 27-second mark (see screen capture above).
Could Lincoln be considering a rear-wheel drive luxury coupe built on the pony's bones? A move like that seems awfully unlikely, but it certainly wouldn't hurt our feelings. Either way, we'll find out more tomorrow. In the interim, check out the teaser video below for yourself.

Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.
