2003 Lincoln Navigator 4x4 on 2040-cars
Springfield, Missouri, United States
2003 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate, AWD/4x4, 137,890 miles, Black/Black,
sunroof, retractable power running boards, power lift gate, bi-xenon
headlamps, power folding 3rd row seats, nav, rear a/c. We have owned
this Navigator since 2007. Average condition for the miles, does show
some wear and tear as expected for a 11 year old vehicle with the miles
and 5 kids, some scratches, chips, etc. Some interior wear. Strong
motor, a/c blows cold, newer battery, 4 wheel drive works as it should.
Front rotors need to be turned and could probably use an alignment, tuneup and a
transmission flush. The drivers side rear door has a slight boo-boo (see photo) The crappy factory air suspension was replaced a
couple years ago with the Strutmaster coil over conversion kit so no
worries with the factory air suspension like most Navigators. Tires
have about 40% remaining tread. No oil leaks, had a slight oil leak
repaired by Friendly Ford about a year ago, never used for any heavy
towing. A few of the little trinkets no longer work (common) such as,
heated/ac front seats, rear dvd (which may just be a fuse or relay),
backup sensors. Clean carfax, never been in an accident. Would like to
sell asap as we just purchased a new car and don't have room for it.
Please let me know if you have any questions Sold AS IS!!!! Don't ask for anything to be fixed/replaced, you just read a good/accurate description and it is being sold as it sits!

Ford announces bevy of recalls, 2 of which are recalls on recalls
Tue, 04 Nov 2014
Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).
Ford hybrids getting update to improve fuel economy
Tue, 16 Jul 2013Ford has announced that it is introducing "calibration updates designed to improve on-road fuel economy for owners of the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid, 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid and 2013 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid."
We can speculate that these changes are at least due in part to lawsuits over mileage claims of hybrid vehicles. The automaker is enhancing 2013 models starting in August by raising their electric cruising speed to 85 miles per hour from 62 mph, optimizing the use of active grille shutters and the climate control system, shortening the engine warm-up period by 50 percent and reducing electric fan speed to minimize the fan's energy consumption.
It bears mentioning that Ford is doing pretty well in the US electrified vehicle market this year. The company claims to have grown its share in the segment by 12 points to 16 percent while taking a high number of Toyota Prius trade-ins in the process. Conversely, Toyota has experienced a five-percent drop in new-Prius sales over the same period. Additionally, Ford states that it has increased its share of the US vehicle market by one percent this year, more than any full-line automaker.
