AHA special half vinyl top: with small rear window
This vehicle is a special model Lincoln Town Car that was sent to AHA Coachbuilders of Toronto,Canada from the Ford assembly line.It is rare as only 200 vehicles like this were upgraded at AHA between 1983 and 1988.This Vehicle, although sent to AHA for the "limo" upgrades has never been used commercially and has been owned and driven for private use. The vehicle was custom upgraded with a special interior which has special custom leather seats, carpet, indirect lighting, half roof vinyl top and slideout work tables built into the back of the front seat backs, much like in an aircraft(but designed better!). The vehicle is black and has a dark blue leather interior with dark blue carpeting. The vehicle has never been wrecked or modified from the original build. It has all original wheels and covers, except for one center cover missing on one wheel. All options function except the A/C which does not have the belt attached. The heater core has a leak and the hose has been bypassed. All the stainless trim and logos are intact. The vehicle does have some rust behind the Town Car logo on both sides. The paint on the hood and trunk lid is tired and faded but not rusted. There is some rust near the edge of the sunroof. The vinyl top has no rips or tears but does have a small lift about 5 inches long at the base where the trim holds it down below the rear window. The interior is in good condition except for wear on the drivers armrest on the door panel and the dashboard has two small screws where the 80`s cell phone was attached. The brake lines were replaced 2 years ago. This vehicle is registered and insured but not driven often and I want to sell it so I can move forward on an rv project. The pictures show ARE OF THE ACTUAL CAR on this listing.

Ford recalling 850,000 cars and SUVs for airbag issues
Fri, 26 Sep 2014Ford has announced a major recall of 850,000 vehicles from model years 2013 and 2014 due to a problem with the "restraints control module."
According to Ford, a short circuit could develop in the module, causing the airbag warning light to illuminate. In more severe cases, dependent on where the short develops, the airbags and seatbelt pre-tensioners may not work in the event of an accident. The problems can be more wide-ranging than that, too, as systems that rely on information from the control module, such as the stability control can be affected.
With 850,000 vehicles affected, it's no surprise that some of Ford's volume leaders are covered. That includes the Fusion and Lincoln MKZ sedans, as well as the incredibly recall-prone Escape and the C-Max MPV.
Huge JFK auction includes two classic Lincolns
Wed, 09 Oct 2013Want to own a piece of American history? Perhaps you should consider 35th President John F. Kennedy's limousine, a stretched 1960 Lincoln Continental, or the last car he safely rode in before his assassination, a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible. Both of them will be up for sale at the Camelot: Fifty Years after Dallas auction on October 24, a JFK 50th anniversary auction in Boston.
The black 1960 Continental was part of the presidential motorcade and is bulletproof. The body has been restored to the tune of about $35,000, according to RR Auctions, but the interior was left alone. That's okay, because the winning bidder will be able to enjoy lounging in the well-preserved seats and stepping on the original tan carpeting, just as President Kennedy did. The next owner can even play President, with a divider window, passenger air controls and a two-way telephone - if a chauffeur is hired, of course. The starting bid for the Continental is $25,000.
The other car is more historically relevant (but in this writer's eye, less beautiful), and commands a starting bid of $50,000. The white, convertible 1963 Continental was the last car President Kennedy rode in before his assassination in Dallas - with a notarized document by the car's owner at the time as proof. It was used to transport the President, his wife, Jacqeuline, and Texas governor John Connally "from a breakfast and speech at the Texas Hotel ballroom through the streets of Fort Worth to Carswell Air Force Base, where they boarded a short flight to Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963," according to RR Auctions. Lincoln specialist Baker Restoration in Connecticut restored the car, which included an engine replacement, body work and paint. Most of the interior, including the seats, are in original condition.
2015 Lincoln Navigator puts on a brave face, offers EcoBoost V6 only

Lincoln has finally given its SUV a facelift after seven long years.
Seven years is a long time. For the auto industry, though, seven years is an absolute eternity. Most vehicles receive clean-sheet redesigns within the span of seven years, usually getting a facelift of some sort after year three or four. Not Lincoln.
