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incolns are coming, fate depends partly on MKZ success
Tue, 04 Dec 2012The product portfolio at Lincoln may seem a bit sparse at the moment, but if a report is to be believed, new products are on the way. TheDetroitBureau.com spoke with sources at Lincoln and Ford, who claimed the American premium brand is working on, perhaps more than one, rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
Lincoln would likely platform-share with the next-generation Ford Mustang to develop those RWD offerings in the early going. Moving forward, the report indicates that Lincoln could take the lead on other rear-drive projects in the future. As the RWD architecture continues to take shape, "most or all" of the front-wheel-drive portfolio will also be offered with all-wheel drive as an option, ala Audi.
But wait, there's more! The report also suggests that a replacement for the full-size MKS is on the way, as well as a new Navigator and a luxury crossover based on the current Ford Escape.
Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

Lincoln MKC crossover headed for Detroit
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Fresh off the launch of the stylish new MKZ sedan, the newly named Lincoln Motor Company is reportedly preparing for a lineup expansion. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, the first new product joining the Lincoln brand is a small crossover based on the Ford Escape said to be called the MKC. We saw this machine testing a few months ago, and while we were hoping the name might be reserved for a future two-door model or even the diminutive Concept C hatchback, it looks like the "C" will stand for compact crossover instead.
The report also says that this crossover will be making its debut next month at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, so we'll have to wait until then to see what the new model looks like. Unlike the MKX, which is based off the Ford Edge, we would expect there to be a lot more differentiation between the MKC and the Escape like Ford managed to do with the newest Fusion and MKZ.
In addition to the new MKC, the article states new MKS and Navigator designs are expected to debut by 2014.
