This Lotus will turn heads like no other car for the money. Runs excellent and looks great. All recalls done, freshly serviced and new gauge cluster installed by lotus dealer under warranty. Garage kept and so much fun to drive. Car has Sport and Touring packages. There are a few stone chips here and there, the driver's side front air splitter has some paint cracking and the passenger door has been scratched near the key hole. Also the driver's door sill has a scratch in the plastic and the driver's seat has a few small tears. All wheels are in perfect condition. Please look at all the photos carefully. I purchased this car from a Kia dealership in NJ and got with it an extended warranty. The gauge cluster stopped working this season and was replaced at the extended warranty company's expense by Park Avenue Lotus in Maywood NJ. The True Mileage is 16,025 plus the current reading of 91 miles totaling 16,116. This car has been well cared for, and while I'd love to keep it, employment changes force the sale. There is a lien currently on the car, so there will be a slight delay for the release. I work for a heavy trucking company and could assist with loading the car for your transport company. Oh, and did we mention the tires? Pirelli made a last-minute swap after the amusement park ride that the Chinese Grand Prix turned into with the soft compound tire, and brought medium and hard compounds to the desert. That didn't stop things from falling apart for some teams - literally - and that didn't stop the one team that seems to love the hard compound Pirelli tire.
Lotus Exige S gets automatic transmission option
Sun, 26 Oct 2014A vehicle as light and agile as the Lotus Exige is all about driver involvement, but those enticed by the nimble sports car's handling and performance who aren't keen on working a stick shift now have another option at their disposal.
Lotus has just announced the availability of an automatic transmission on both the Exige S and Exige S Roadster. For an extra couple thousand euros or pounds sterling, customers will now be able to order a six-speed automatic transmission. The two-pedal setup includes paddle shifters and Sport or Race modes that optimize shifting for "a more spirited drive."
Equipped with the slushbox, the Exige S Automatic is just as quick around Lotus' famous factory test track in Hethel, and even pips the manual version's 0-62 time by 0.1 second, now down to 3.9. Unfortunately, since the Exige isn't available Stateside anymore, however, American buyers can't get their hands on either version.
Race Recap: 2013 Indian Grand Prix mostly calm with chances of Championships
Mon, 28 Oct 2013The smog around the Buddh International Circuit got so bad over the weekend that the FIA had to change the practice sessions. Then the soft tires that Pirelli brought to be the options were found to degrade so quickly that teams had to change their qualifying and race strategies. The only man it didn't seem to affect was - guess who? - Sebastian Vettel, who put his Infiniti Red Bull Racing on pole position.
Behind him came Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas, Mark Webber in the second Infiniti Red Bull and on medium tires, Felipe Massa in the first Ferrari, Kimi Räikkönen in the first Lotus, Nico Hülkenberg in the first Sauber, Fernando Alonso in the second Ferrari, and the McLaren duo of Sergio Perez and Jenson Button. The tire strategizing didn't work out for Romain Grosjean in the second Lotus, who didn't get out of Q1 after only running the medium compound tire and lined up 17th.
The Indian Grand Prix has been held twice and Vettel has led every single lap of both races. If nothing else, we knew there would be at least one new thing about this Indian Grand Prix: there'd be a lap not led by Vettel since he qualified on softs and would have to pit before Webber and Alonso who were both on mediums.
