This Toy is in excellent condition inside and out. The parts used to rebuild this vehicle were original Lotus Parts purchased brand new from a local Lotus Dealership in Georgia and we are willing to show receipts for parts purchased for this vehicle. The vehicle is not perfect it does has some small flaws in the body work on the hood that you would need to have a magnifying glass to see. This vehicle went through a rigorous Georgia inspection prior to the issuance of the Georgia Rebuilt Title. This vehicle was sent to an alignment shop and had NO issues and is PERFECTLY aligned. The clutch on this vehicle is tight. The overall power train is in EXCELLENT condition. The paint on this vehicle is PERFECT! Inside is great as well with the hard to find combination red & white ("ONLY A FEW MADE"), Leather, Cup Holder, Push Button Start, HARD & SOFT TOP. The fog lights were removed to give it more SLEEK look. (This was done professionally.) The last picture you will see on this car is a "BEFORE" picture this picture was taken a couple of days prior to the start of the rebuild process. Lotus Exige S tears the roof off
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Some things just don't make sense. But then we're not sure they really have to. Imagine Porsche took the Cayman, which is essentially the coupe version of the Boxster, and turned it into a convertible. Wouldn't make much sense, would it? Well that's essentially what Lotus did with the creation of the Exige S Roadster.
The Exige, you see, was already the fixed-roof version of the Elise. So what was the point in turning it back into a roadster? That's what our friends at XCar tried to ascertain in the video below. We could tell you what conclusion they arrived at, but that would spoil all the fun. So we'll just let you enjoy the seven-minute clip and see for yourself. Just remember: it doesn't have to make sense. It just has to be a Lotus.
Lotus reveals new LMP1 at Le Mans
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Lotus is at Le Mans this week where it has unveiled its new LMP1. Only it's not racing at Le Mans. And it's not really a Lotus, either.
The prototype belongs to an independent German team that ran a Lotus chassis in the LMP2 category last year, but was granted license by the FIA and ACO to step up to the top-tier LMP1 category to dice it with the front-running hybrids from Audi, Porsche and Toyota this year. Unfortunately, the team - which licenses the Lotus name from the automaker, much as the F1 team does - faced some setbacks. Not the least of those delays resulted from a mid-stream switch in engine suppliers from the Audi-sourced, naturally aspirated V8 it was originally set to use to a new turbocharged V6 from Advanced Engine Research.
As a result it wasn't ready for the Silverstone race that kicked off this season's World Endurance Championship in April. Nor was it ready for the second round at Spa in May or not for the headline event this weekend at Le Mans, but it aims to be on the track at the next round in Austin.
Race Recap: 2013 Japanese Grand Prix flips several scripts [spoilers]
Mon, 14 Oct 2013Japan's Suzuka circuit is a great track that all the drivers love, but it doesn't usually provide the most thrilling, head-to-head racing. Where it does excel, however, is with surprises and "What just happened there?!" moments, and this year it was no different.
It started with Mark Webber in his Infiniti Red Bull Racing out-qualifying his teammate Sebastian Vettel for the first time this year. They were followed closely by Lewis Hamilton in the first Mercedes-AMG Petronas, the still-solid Romain Grosjean again outdoing teammate Kimi Räikkönen, Felipe Massa racing for another seat in Formula One and putting his Ferrari in fifth, then Nico Rosberg in the second Mercedes, Nico Hülkenberg in the first Sauber, Fernando Alonso in the second Ferrari, and Räikkönen continuing to do himself no favors by qualifying tenth.
For the second year in a row, the lights going out was the cue to start the first corner action...
