You are bidding on a matching numbers 2nd owner 1971 MGB Roadster.  My dad bought this car in 1975.  He used it was a daily driver for 10 years and then as "nice day car" for the next 10 years.  After that, it sat under a car cover in his garage until his sons and grandsons refurbished it for him for Fathers Day 2005.  We installed a new interior, new brake/clutch master cylinders, new clutch slave cylinder, a new oil cooler and tuned up the engine  We also buffed out the body and repainted the rocker panels and sand blasted and powder coated the wire wheels in a medium gray.  Sadly my dad passed away in 2006.  In 2009, I sand blasted and powder coated the top frame and installed a new Moss Motors Cabriolet top (Moss #242-785).  Moss Motors lists that top today at $1,695.00.  This top has a padded head liner and looks great inside and out.  Although the top is new, there are two small places on the right rear window where the plastic window has pulled away from the stitching.  Also, even though the car has been under a cover since the new top was installed, the rear window is just slightly cloudy.  The paint is generally very good with a few blemishes.  There are small rust spots above the LR tire, bottom rear of RF fender and lower front corner of LR fender (see photos).  There are also two small dents above belt line on the RR fender.  There are some paint adhesion issues on the body joint top RR fender which might not show in photos. Originally, this car was British Racing Green but was changed to brown metallic in 1980's after a minor LF snow accident.  The car was stripped down to bare metal at that time.  This car does have 128,547 miles, so it has the squeaks and rattles that you should expect from a 42 year old car.  The suspension is all original except for work required due to normal wear and tear.  The steering wheel is just a little stiff and doesn't quite come back to center by itself after turns.  The engine starts easily but does need some carburetor adjustment as the mid range power is a little low.  The engine burns some oil, but it doesn't show in the exhaust.  As you should expect from an older British car, not all of the electrical systems work correctly.  Headlights and tail lights mostly work but no turn signals and the radio doesn't seem to have power right now.  When the car was last driven (summer of 2008), all electrical items did work.  I drove the car about 500 miles that summer.  The engine temperature gauge reads way to high.  When it was pegged, the engine water temperature was only 172 degrees when checked with an infrared thermometer, so most likely the sender is bad.  The car does include a Tyvek car cover and and MGB Service Manual dated 1966.  By the way, there is no glove box behind the glove box door.

This car is being sold as my mother is now in a nursing home.  As part of that process, we had the car appraised by Kurt Stoops of Stoops Financial Group, Inc.  I have attached a copy of part of his report for you to review.  I can email you the full report if you need to see it.
