1975 MGB convertible that was originally an  Arizona car that has virtually no rust or rust repairs.  Body was undercoated very well early in it's history.  The color is a repaint in the original 1975 MG color--Citroen.  This MGB was converted to V-8 power back in the early 2000's.  This is not a project car, these mod's have been done several years ago and are proven dependability.   Owner has taken it on many extensive road trips.  It is currently daily driven (during nice weather).

This MGB has a re-built  215 cu in. aluminum block Buick V-8 engine with a mild street cam installed which develops approximately 230 HP.  It is equipted with an Eidelbrock 500 carb, electronic ignition, block hugger headers and dual rear exhausts.  The transmission is a Borg Warner T5, 5 speed gearbox with a  hydraulic throw out bearing.  The cooling system is a specialty brass radiator with an engine mounted flex fan and and auxilliary 12 volt fan.  The MGB has American Racing  alloy wheels.  All new poly suspension bushings shocks were installed when modified.   The engine, drivetrain and cooling system  package was purchased from D & D fabrications, in MI. for about $7,500.00 back in early 2000's.  D & D has a website regarding thier specialization in Buick alum block engines.

The Buick alum block engine and alum T-5 transmission conversion, actually wiegh less than the original 4 cylinder cast iron engine and cast iron 4 speed transmission.   No mod's were necessary to maintain suspension and steering funtionality.  The car drives straight and true--no wonder or pulling.

Being a 1975, this car originally had the US safety mandated rubber bumpers --but I also converted it to chrome bumpers--for the pre 74 classic look.  I also installed a 1" trailer hitch reciever on the rear and have towed light duty campers and utility trailers with ease.

The interior (seats covers, carpet, door panels et cetera were replaced with Moss Motors items during the modification.  The convertible top was replaced at that time and is in very good condition and fit.  The car has a Grant Racing wood steering wheel installed.

A new Pilkington windscreen glass was installed in approximately 2005.  (Pilkington being much better quality glass than imports from Moss)

This car outwardly appears like a standard  MGB, the only noticeable exceptions being the alloy wheels, dual exhaust and trailer hitch on the rear.

This MGB has a very deep throaty roar which turns heads and It'll knock the socks off a lot of cars out there.

Owner has retained the "Not Perfect" exterior paint, giving it more of that "Sleeper" look and feel.

This car has been garage winter stored in N. Illinois (South Beloit, IL--WI/IL border) and can be seen/test driven by appoint only.  Owner currently is "full time" in a motorhome--not near the vehicle but will coordinate with brother, viewing and completion of sale.
