1977 MGB. I am the 3rd owner of this car. Was originally from Texas, brought to Illinois in 1987 with 27,000 on it at the at time. Since then has only been driven 10,000 miles. Has always been stored indoors. This is the most original car I have seen  when I purchased last fall, still had all the emissions equipment installed.  The paint being original is not perfect, but the bodyshell is the best I have seen for an unrestored car in a long time. No signs of being in an accident, (except for the crease in the lh front fender....see description below) very straight and only rust is in the crack of doom on the RH door, .LH door is fine.  Only mishap is the LH front fender has a crease on the lower side from running against something in past life. Sills, floors, reinforcement panels (under the front wheel wells), spring perches, crossmember and the usual rust areas are perfect. The trunk lid does not have the usual protruding area from being closed improperly. All the seams are straight, panel fit is as good as came from the factory.
When I got the car I removed the smog gar, installed a Weber downdraft, intake, exhaust along with a new downpipe and Peco large bore exhaust. Also installed a new fuel tank. The ignition is an Allison unit with an extra new unit included.
This car has more than the usual pep for a stock MGB. Brakes work fine and the gearbox shifts nicely with good clutch operation. I cleaned off the majority of the undercoating from the engine bay, but it could use some more elbow grease. The hood liners need to be replaced. Also I believe at one point the master cylinder must have leaked as there is some surface rust on the underside of that area, ditto the top of the rh bulkhead, just outboard of the heater box.
There are a few minor dings and scratches in the paint. The previous owner told me that at one point the top had been replaced along with the floor mats. The rest of the interior looks original to me, the passenger seat is excellent, with the drivers seat being a little soft, but very useable as is.
The dash is perfect with no cracks....interior shows quite well, but the drivers door panel might need to be replaced as it has the waviness in the vinyl from old age.
The bushings and rubber pads in the front and rear suspensions are in not too bad of condition.....no shimmy at speed. King pins appear to have been greased over the years and do not have any play.
All the electrical items work fine...lights, horn, wiper, blower motor, etc. Cooling fans come on around 180 degrees.
You can tell from looking at the clock that the car has had little use in its life....the bezel is perfect.
This car does not have overdrive.
I installed the 15"  Saab Shelby wheels with very good Goodyear 195/65 - 15" tires with new lug nuts and a set of locking lugnuts. Do not have the center caps for the wheels. Also installed a Special tuning front spoiler
Have included 24 photos....do have more of the under carriage. If interested I can email them.
