Up for sale is a 2008 Maserati Quattroporte Executive GT with 22K mi on the ODO. This car was pampered and has never seen rain! It was bought as a Certified Pre-Owned from Maserati of New York and has always been serviced at the dealer. This car runs and drives great. It has 80% tread left on both the front and rear tires. This car also has the ZF transmission. If you have owned the Maserati line of exotics before, the ZF tranmission saves you a few thousand dollars from servicing the clutch and a few more thousands in F1 transmission issues.
This car comes with a CD changer as well. It has Navigation and all the Navigation CDs come along with it. All books/manuals etc. are original and come with the car. The car also has a spare tire package. It also has a fresh battery. Some notes for the first time buyer of an Exotic car - If you have never owned an exotic, I suggest you do your research before bidding or asking any questions. The car retails in the high 40s. Maserati offers peek into Alfieri concept's design
Mon, 24 Mar 2014This year marks Maserati's hundredth anniversary, which means we'll be spending the rest of 2014 talking about all the company's planned celebrations. The Alfieri Concept, shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, though, is quite possibly the most noteworthy part of the brand's centennial.
Named after one of the company's founder, Alfieri Maserati, the coupe is a striking piece of design, although it did manage to fall short of earning a spot on our editors' choice list for the Geneva show (we blame this more on the number of exciting products at the show rather than any shortcoming of the showcar).
In this video, Maserati Centro Stile designers take us through the process of penning the Alfieri, from the car it was inspired by, on to the actual process of designing the car. Fans of automotive design won't want to miss this video. Take a look below.
2014 Maserati Quattroporte revealed in patent drawings
Thu, 12 Jul 2012Curious about what the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte will look like? Recent spy shots of the big Maserati sedan haven't been much help, but now we have this: Three alleged patent drawings found by AutoWeek.nl. Better fire up your imagination, however, as like all European Patent Office images, these sketches have the unique ability to suck the beauty out of even Italian cars. Truth be told, if AutoWeek.nl had told us this was a new Buick, we might have believed them.
That said, we can certainly see the resemblance in the rear to the Maserati GranTurismo, with a similar C-pillar and that little flipped-up spoiler. In the front, too, we imagine the new Quattroporte will resemble its sportier sibling, with the crude lines from these drawings turned into more voluptuous curves through the magic of modern manufacturing.
Rumors say the next-gen sedan will be available with a choice of two engines assembled by Ferrari, either a turbocharged V8 or a supercharged V6. We're likely to see the new Quattroporte in the flesh for the first time at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
Leno profiles Pebble Beach-winning 1956 Maserati
Tue, 26 Nov 2013We enjoy it when Jay Leno and his web show, Jay Leno's Garage, take a look at new, modern cars. When the comedian gets his paws on a proper classic, though, he's at his best. Leno is able to display an impressive breadth of knowledge about even obscure models, and that's no different here, as the winner of its class at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, a 1956 Maserati A6G-2000 Allemano rolls into the garage.
Part of the Maserati A6 family, this A6G is one of just 21 cars produced with coachwork by Carrozzeria Allemano, making it one of the rarer cars to grace Jay Leno's Garage. It's powered by a 2.0-liter inline-six, and, as Leno points out, is far more of a road car than the race-oriented Maseratis of the day.
