Previous owner here in Florida is the mother-in law of a private Porsche shop owner, where the car has been serviced every 3K miles for the past 60K miles. Original power soft top works great and is in excellent condition with clear window. Ice cold a.c. Everything on car works as it should. All interior and exterior lights work as new. Original Porsche CD radio. Interior including leather seats, is in very good condition. New air to oil separator. New complete front suspension rebuild with new Bilstein struts. Note: No previous suspension damage was noted during this front end rebuild. Original factory installed suspension parts including factory black Bilsteins were replaced. IMS bearing upgrade along with new clutch replacement at 60K miles. No strange drive-line noises with no interior rattles when at speed. Clutch is good, and trans shifts up and down perfect. Engine has very good power with smooth pulling revs to red-line. Brakes recently serviced with good pads. No leaks anywhere, no smoke from motor. No oil consumption. Maserati releases quartet of videos featuring new Quattroporte
Tue, 06 Nov 2012In case you missed it, Maserati has decided to introduce the world to its next Quattroporte well ahead of its official debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. As expected, it's beautiful.
Not content to leave well enough alone, the Italian automaker has revealed a series of videos to go along with the six images and press release it had already let loose upon the globe's unsuspecting automotive press.
We're still a bit shaky on the details, but Maserati says the Quattroporte's new engine, assembled by Ferrari in Maranello, will "[establish] new benchmarks for Maserati in terms of power and acceleration." That sounds good to us, though we're not sure if that means 530 horsepower as possibly alluded to by the license plate on the press shots. We also note that the automaker says the car is designed to accept "a wide range of engine architectures," so that rumored supercharged V6 sounds likely.
Maserati surprises Manhattan with Centennial edition GranTurismo
Thu, 17 Apr 2014The GranTurismo may be getting a little long in the proverbial tooth, but it hasn't quite been a century just yet. It has, however, been a hundred years since Maserati was originally founded, and to celebrate that milestone, the Modenese automaker has rolled in to the New York Auto Show this year with a pair of special editions. Available in either coupe or convertible form, the MC Centennial Editions arrived as a surprise just as the Alfieri concept was a month ago in Geneva, albeit somewhat less revolutionary.
The special editions are differentiated from any other by their paint scheme, special wheels, revamped interior and special badging throughout. Magma red and Inchiostro blue - the colors of the city of Bologna where the company was founded a century ago - are new to the Maserati catalog, and come with a choice of wheel options with special logos at the center. The interior color is specified to complement the exterior with red, white or blue trim and carbon-fiber accents.
Power comes from the same 4.7-liter V8 as the GranTurismo MC Stradale or GranCabrio Sport, driving 454 horsepower to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. That's said to be enough to propel either coupe or convertible to a top speed of 185 miles per hour, and comes coupled with Brembo brakes and MC sport suspension. Watch Edo Competition pit a Ferrari FXX against a Maserati MC12 Corsa on the 'Ring
Fri, 03 May 2013High-zoot supercar tour organizer Gran Turismo Events held its annual Nürburgring track day last month, and in addition to the amateur punters the gates were opened to two tuned supercars from Edo Competition: A Maserati MC12 Corsa and a Ferrari Enzo ZXX. The ZXX, in case you've forgotten, is the same love child of Edo Competition and Zahir Rana's ZR Exotics that belly flopped into the Atlantic during the 2011 Targa Newfoundland.
We get a trip around the Nordschleife with both cars during a no-doubt quick but not insane lap, on board with driver Patrick Simon in the 755-horsepower MC12 and 'Ring queen Sabine Schmitz following in the 840-hp ZXX.
