This 10th Anniversary Edition Mazda Miata is a well-kept vehicle.  It's an all around great looking car.  Sapphire Blue Mica exterior with painted white rally stripes and a Mustang Cobra hood scoop (non-functional) with blue/black interior makes this car look great.  Car is also equipped with Torsion limited-slip differential, a sport tuned suspension with Bilstein shocks, a front strut tower brace for increased stiffness and a 6-speed manual transmission.  6-speed transmissions are only available on special edition models. The engine compartment is clean and has no leaks.  The top half of the engine was overhauled and rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago.  An excellent climate control system with the heat blowing hot and the a/c blowing very cold.  Stereo/CD player is aftermarket Blaupunkt with 230 watt output combined with a BOSE speaker system for some great sound.  Car also has 17" Alloy wheels with low profile tires, Chrome style bar with chrome interior accents, and aftermarket tinted windows.  As you can see from the pictures, this car is in great overall shape with only a few dings and scratches and is very unique looking.  Vehicle has a valid PA inspection, just renewed this month.  Vehicle is being sold without any warranty expressed or implied.  Vehicle number is 6066/7500 made.  WHITE HARD TOP IS AVAILABLE FOR ADDITIONAL FEE OF $750.00.

Mazda2 successor to ride atop shortened CX-5 platform

Fri, 31 May 2013

Mazda, looking to make the most of its new, lightweight Skyactiv vehicle architecture, will allegedly use a version of the CX-5 crossover's platform to underpin its next-generation Mazda2 hatchback, according to a report from Just-Auto.com. Of course, the Mazda2 is a much smaller vehicle than its larger CUV stablemate, so some serious chopping will no doubt be in order when it comes time to engineer the replacement for the company's smallest hatch.
Currently, the CX-5 and the sleek new Mazda6 share many of the same platform components, and this architecture will already be scaled down to support the next-generation Mazda3 sedan and hatchback, which will debut later this year. Just-Auto.com states that all of Mazda's remaining front-wheel-drive vehicles will eventually switch to reworked versions of this Skyactiv platform, including the replacement for the larger CX-9 crossover.
Also of note, Mazda will reportedly be switching to shorter, four-year lifecycles for its vehicles. This means that the newly launched Mazda6 will be replaced for the 2016 calendar year, with a refresh coming sometime in 2014. That said, vehicles with platforms supplied by other automakers (like the upcoming MX-5 Miata replacement that will share its underpinnings with an Alfa Romeo product) will not necessarily follow this four-year rule.

Mazda reveals new 'Game Changers' advertising campaign

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

Looking to highlight its unique and sporty mindset, Mazda is getting ready to launch its biggest advertising campaign since "Zoom-Zoom" became its tagline in 2000. The new campaign, entitled "Game Changers," will begin in May, and rather than focusing on its sporty past - like it did with Zoom-Zoom early on - the new ads will look at recent advancements made in building its future, including Skyactiv technologies and its new diesel race program, both of which involve its excellent new Mazda6 sedan.
As a part of the ads, Mazda will showcase game changers from the sporting world, including Dick Fosbury who changed how competitors perform the high jump and Laird Hamilton, who redefined how surfers attacked big waves. It doesn't sound like Zoom-Zoom is going away, but "Game Changers" will definitely feature heavily in the Japanese automaker's marketing moving forward. A few examples of the new ad campaign are posted in our gallery, and the press release is available below.

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata has arrived

Wed, 03 Sep 2014

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The highly anticipated fourth-generation (ND) model made its official debut in Monterey, CA this evening, and while details are slim (as in, we have practically none), there's one big thing to talk about: less weight.
Yes, Mazda has confirmed that the new Miata sheds some 220 pounds over the model it replaces, and is "the most compact of any generation MX-5 so far." For those keeping track, that means the new MX-5 should weigh in somewhere around 2,200 pounds.
Mazda's Kodo design language is obvious here, with a seriously wide and low demeanor, and a mix of flowing lines and sharp angles. We don't have any powertrain details to report as of this writing, but Mazda says the full suite of Skyactiv technologies are onboard, and the motto in creating this car was "Innovate in order to preserve."
