2001 Mazda Miata MX-5 Special Edition - 61k miles, six-speed manual transmission, perfect AC, cruise control. Special edition means British racing green paint, hard wood steering wheel, glass rear window, power locks, windows and mirrors. Original convertible top is in perfect condition.
Car cover included. Cover was used to protect car when not in use and it was parked under a covered parking space. No rust issues. We used this as a weekend driver, hence low miles. Coil pack, spark plugs/wires, O2 sensors (front and rear), brakes, and roof clamps were all recently replaced. NEW tires with less than 500 miles. Paint is in good condition with minor wear and tear as to be expected from a car of this age. Driver's seat leather is ripped but Wet Okole seat covers were installed 3 years ago and so this doesn't show. Interior is in terrific condition and we have new floor mats although we've been using the old ones. Car runs very smoothly and handles perfectly. A perfect car for cruising the island! |

2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata has arrived
Wed, 03 Sep 2014Ladies and gentlemen, meet the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata. The highly anticipated fourth-generation (ND) model made its official debut in Monterey, CA this evening, and while details are slim (as in, we have practically none), there's one big thing to talk about: less weight.
Yes, Mazda has confirmed that the new Miata sheds some 220 pounds over the model it replaces, and is "the most compact of any generation MX-5 so far." For those keeping track, that means the new MX-5 should weigh in somewhere around 2,200 pounds.
Mazda's Kodo design language is obvious here, with a seriously wide and low demeanor, and a mix of flowing lines and sharp angles. We don't have any powertrain details to report as of this writing, but Mazda says the full suite of Skyactiv technologies are onboard, and the motto in creating this car was "Innovate in order to preserve."
Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota
Mon, 23 Jun 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
