Up for sale is my 1996 Mazda Miata. This car is clean title, which is very hard to find, and also with extremely low mileage! only 69,799 original miles on this beauty! this car is a blast to drive, especially with the top down and summer coming up! everything on this car works, has all the bells and whistles too! Equipped with a cruise control, power windows, power mirrors, headrest speakers, power antenna, 1.8L Motor, 5-Speed manual transmission, Soft top is in brand new condition, everything on this car is original including the stereo. also has near new bridgestone tires with about 80% thread left on them. the timing belt was changed at 66k miles, along with new spark plugs, coil pack, and a tune up. Oil was changed at 69k miles along with oil filter. This is the cleanest miata you will find on craigslist! the only con to this car is that there is a small spot on the hood where the paint went a little bad. it will be included in the photos (last pic). everything else is perfect.

Scion FR-S pitted against oldtimers RX-8 and S2000
Tue, 07 May 2013There are very few vehicles available today that compare directly with the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ twins. A case could be made for the Mazda MX-5 Miata, and possibly even six-cylinder versions of American coupes like the Ford Mustang. Pretty much everything else is either too expensive or is powered by the wrong set of wheels.
The boys from EverydayDriver on YouTube decided the only fair way to judge the inherent qualities of the Toyobaru twins was to pit them against two standard-bearers of years past: The Honda S2000 and Mazda RX-8. Neither of these cars is an exact matchup, with the Honda boasting a convertible top and the RX-8 offering more practicality via a rear seat and two reverse-opening doors for easier access. What they do offer, however, are similar performance stats and proven reputations for excellent handling.

Mazda reports strong Skyactiv sales, plans to boost output 25%
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Mazda is set to expand production of its Skyactiv engines after critical and commercial acclaim for the fuel-sipping powerplants. The Japanese manufacturer has a number of plans in the works to bump up production, with the first being a 25-percent increase in output from its Hiroshima, Japan engine facility.
Besides adding a new line, Mazda will modify the line that built MZR engines, a family of mills that includes the 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Mazdaspeed3 and the 2.0-liter found in the MX-5 Miata. The bump in production is just part of Mazda's goal of selling 1.7 million vehicles globally by 2016, with 80 percent of those vehicles expected to wear a Skyactiv badge.
Mazda also builds Skyactiv engines at a joint-venture facility with Ford, in Changan, China, while a Mexican facility will go online by March of 2014. Skyactiv engines currently power the Mazda3, Mazda6 and CX-5.
Mini Cooper Countryman only small car to earn good grade in latest IIHS crash tests [w/video]

Competitors in the small-car segment didn't do nearly as well. Four vehicles earned "poor" grades.
Only one small car out of 12 tested earned a good grade in the latest round of crash-test results compiled by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Mini Cooper Countryman received a "good" ranking on the organization's small-front overlap test.
