For your consideration is my beloved '99 Mazda MX5. I am going to describe this vehicle and its extensive modification list to the best of my ability. However, I'm sure I will forget a few things so please don't hesitate to ask any additional questions :)
The car started out as a clean, black, base trim level '99 with power windows and power mirrors. The odometer currently reads 125,786 and counting. (I drive the car at least 3-4 times a week). The sound this car makes is phenomenal!! I have only seen one other RB swapped Miata before. It is in California and has been in several magazines. This car gets TONS of attention and I hate to sell it. IN SUMMERY, THE CAR IS RELIABLE, RECENTLY TUNED AND READY TO GO. Made just under 400WHP on a safe tune @14PSI. Mazda's awesome Hiroshima museum now navigable by Google Maps
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Visiting an auto museum is one of the best ways we know to connect with car culture and to commune with the past and bone up on one's knowledge. Most of us have a decent museum within a few hours drive of where we live, but that doesn't mean it's easy to see the world's great collections - factors like cost, time and mobility can get in the way. Videos are great, but they don't allow us to browse at our own pace or choose what we'd like to focus on. The folks behind Google Maps have a solution - the virtual museum tour, as seen here at Mazda's fantastic museum in Hiroshima, Japan.

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Mazda poaches designer Kevin Rice back from BMW
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Kevin Rice left Mazda a baker's dozen years ago, but now he's back.
A graduate of the Transportation Design program at Coventry University (just across town from Jaguar headquarters), Rice worked his way up in the industry working for the likes of Opel and Italdesign Giugiaro before landing a job at Mazda. Between 1995 and 2000, he collaborated on such projects as the RX-8 and the 1999 Neospace concept that previewed the Mazda2 before moving on to BMW, where the new 3 Series and 4 Series were among the last projects he worked on during his 13-year tenure in Munich.
Now back at Mazda, Rice has been named the Japanese automaker's new creative director, charged with further honing the brand's KODO design language from its European headquarters in Oberursel, Germany. We're looking forward to seeing what he and his design team come up with in the coming years.
