2005 Mazda 3s Hatchback 2.3l 5 Door on 2040-cars
Bronx, New York, United States
Great city car! I am the second owner of this car, purchased in 2008 in NH with around 45,000 miles on it. Tires about 1 yr old, just had all fluids flushed and replaced, have run only full synthetic oil since I've had the car. Engine has been well maintained and is in great shape, never had any problems. I replaced the original Ford engine mounts last year with third party mounts - the stock Ford versions were known to fail. Clear title - I've had one minor accident since buying the car, rear ended at a stoplight, no problems since. There is a fair amount of minor cosmetic damage to the body, three minor spots of rust which can be easily repaired and the dents and dings which come with having a car in New York City. Normal wear and tear to the interior given the age of the car. This is a great car that has served me well. Very easy to parallel park with a tight turning radius, and a surprisingly large storage area given the size of the car. Driver's seat is amazingly adjustable(I am 6' 3" and fit in the car without a contortionist routine, and my 5' 2" mother finds it equally comfortable to drive). Passed NY inspection last week. I have maintenance records for the last few years available on request. If you have any questions or concerns about the car, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
Red Bull RX-7 goes drift crazy on New Zealand's Crown Range
Tue, 07 May 2013For the first time ever, the Crown Range, New Zealand's highest paved road, was closed off for the drifting pleasure of one man. That man is Mad Mike Whiddett, and the machine he's piloting is a heavily modified Mazda RX-7 sponsored by the energy-rich crew from Red Bull and powered by a 750-horsepower quad-rotor engine. There will be smoke. Lots and lots of smoke.
Mad Mike hits speeds in excess of 140 miles per hour over the course of the road's six and a half miles, which boasts 47 individual corners at over 3,500 feet of elevation. Scroll down for all kinds of fire-belching, tire-squealing and smoke-inducing action. Or, as Mad Mike himself puts it, "A dream turned into reality."
Lexus, Mazda win KBB 5-Year Cost To Own Awards
Wed, 05 Feb 2014We focus a lot on what new cars are like to drive, but it's difficult on a one-week loan to really get a sense of what a car is like to live with. Sure, we try to recreate that sense with our long-term vehicles, but even after a year, it's impossible to know fully learn about a car, particularly in terms of reliability and cost of repairs. For 2014 model year vehicles, Kelley Blue Book has put together a list of the most affordable vehicles over a five-year period.
At the tippy top of the list are Mazda and Lexus, with the Zoom-Zoom automaker winning the award for best non-luxury brand. Lexus, meanwhile, was the most affordable luxury marque over a five-year period. It's interesting to note, though, that not a single Mazda won its segment in this year's awards.
General Motors did quite well, taking eight segments, including both the subcompact and plug-in segments, with the gas-powered Chevrolet Spark and Spark EV. The Chevy Camaro SS and ZL1 took the high-performance car award. Toyota was well represented, with five winners split between the main brand (Corolla, Prius C and Tacoma) and Lexus (LS and RX).
