This 1985 Mazda RX7 is 100% original and stock (except tires) with only 33,042 miles and is in pristine condition.  The car has leather interior, factory moonroof (and also "hard top"), 5 speed manual transmission, A/C (which blows cold), power locks and windows, factory cassette player with equalizer and cruise control.  We have owned the car approximately six years and have our fun with it.  Recently, it has had a new battery and the carb rebuilt.

This RX7 is immaculate, however, it is 28 years old and does have some minor flaws.  These flaws include a few minor dings that could be easily removed with PDR (paintless dent removal).  The largest of these few dings is located on the roof new the glass moonroof (notice picture).  In addition, there are some light scratches/flaws under the front bumper - nothing severe, but please notice the attached pictures.

Again, this car is an outstanding, low-mile, all original representation of the 1st generation RX7s.  Everything works and is in excellent condition.  I am more than happy to answer any questions that you might have, however, please don't inquire about a reserve as this is an auction and it will run its full course.  Thank you for your interest!  Blessings, Chris Shade (402) 460-7097.

TERMS: $500 due via PayPal within 48hrs and full payment within 7days of close of auction via cash, money-wire transfer or Cashier check.  I am happy to assist with shipping, however, the vehicle does not leave my possession until payment is received in full.

Top Gear recounts the fiery demise of the Mazda Furai

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

This past September we reported on Top Gear's destruction of the Mazda Furai, one of the finest concept cars to ever grace an auto show stage. It turns out that the Furai, which was burned nearly beyond recognition at the hands of the British magazine, was actually destroyed back in 2008, and that the entire thing had been covered up for five long years.
Now, a few months after publishing that heart-wrenching composite of a half-baked Furai (shown above), the lads at TG have published their account of just what resulted in a priceless concept car being transformed into a smoking hulk on a Suffolk runway. Click over to read the full story about just what happened, along with pictures of the Furai before, during and after the inferno.

Teen Miata enthusiast and friend of Autoblog passes away

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

When Thomas' illness made it impossible for him to drive, he relied on friends to do it for him.
Attending the reveal of the 2016 MX-5 Miata and the subsequent 25th anniversary celebration at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca confirmed that the little roadster maintains broad appeal, one not limited to the elderly or a certain gender as detractors might have you believe. In fact, the assembled crowd was surprisingly youthful, particularly amongst the club racer set and tuners. But one young Miata owner and superfan unfortunately wasn't in attendance - Thomas Jost, 19, was busy fighting for his life in a Maryland hospital.

First 2014 Mazda3 ad appears

Sat, 29 Jun 2013

If we judge by your comments on our recent announcement post about the new Mazad3, you Autoblog readers approve, pretty wholeheartedly, about the redesign efforts happening over at Mazda. Pressed for an opinion, we'd be forced to admit that we find the new 3 quite fetching our own selves.
To add fuel to the fast-burning fire then, Mazda has gone ahead and dropped a 15-second pseudo commercial on YouTube, showing a very rendered Mazda3 in a very rendered driving environment. The short spot is really just slightly more dynamic than the images of the car, but there is a spot of mystery to it, as well.
Right at the start of the video, an interior shot of the car shows a transparent display screen of some kind, rising from the top of the 3's dash. An interesting choice, considering Mazda has bestowed an actual center-mounted display in on the hatchback's dash-top - albeit one that doesn't look like a clear piece of glass. Take a look below, and while you're there, check out a just-released official video of the Mazda3's reveal in New York.
