1967 Mercedes Benz W108 250se, Like 220se 280se S Se Sel W111 W110 W109 Webasto on 2040-cars
1967 Mercedes Benz 250SE, Euro trim, rare and desirable Webasto sunroof, floor-shift automatic. Good engine and transmission. Car runs, drives and stops, but not well due to sitting for 1.5 years. Brakes are stiff, and fuel system may need attention. Exhaust leak near muffler. Engine is healthy, starts right up, no smoke or funny noises. Fuel injection pump is new! Transmission shifts well. All tires hold air. Car has rust in floorboards, passenger side rocker panel and door bottoms have rust bubbling. None appear structural however. All frame rails are solid. Paint flaking on the roof. Interior is all there, needs attention. Glass is excellent, with the exception of right rear door glass needs replacement. Windshield is perfect. All chrome and anodized trim in good to excellent condition. The only exception being right rear overrider has surface rust, but an excellent replacement is included. All gauges are metric, odometer reading is 144k km (about 90k miles), Euro headlights. Deserving restoration candidate, or an excellent donor car, offered for less than the price of new fuel injection pump! Clear and open (signed off, undated) Oregon title, ready for transfer or export. Local delivery is included in price, or contact me for a shipping quote. Thank you.

Dartz promises own 6x6 G-Class with golden shishas and a dining room
Mon, 25 Mar 2013So you didn't really think Dartz Motorz was going to let the limited-production, 544-horsepower Mercedes 6x6 G63 AMG go without a challenge, did you? Picking up the gauntlet as only Dartz can, the Russian dream-makers have come up with the Sahara G-eopard, supposedly a special request from a buyer to make one of the 'standard' six-wheelers "more opulent and insane."
That means the vehicle from the factory gets extended by about a foot (30 centimeters), coach doors in the rear, a "yacht floor" and air conditioning that runs on its own power source, Asanti 24-inch Gold Bullion wheels and a water dispenser with Russian diamonds, which the owner will need to fill the golden shishas (hookahs) in the portable smoking room. That's right, you heard the man: a portable smoking room. Where the occupants will retire when they're finished in the portable dining room. Of course.
Yes, it will even have leopard spotting painted onto its nano-coating, and so much more. You can check out the press release below from the source. Try not to be jealous.
Mercedes mulling Renault-based entry-level X-Class?
Sun, 17 Mar 2013Somewhere in between the Smart brand and the all-new A-Class (pictured above), Daimler is said to be readying a smaller entry-level product for the Mercedes-Benz brand to compete with models like the Audi A1. According to AutoBild, Mercedes-Benz will get a new hatchback based on a platform from its recent partnership with Renault-Nissan, and it could be called the X-Class.
Expected to debut by 2018, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class could be offered in sedan, hatchback and crossover variants, and it would likely have a starting price below the $20,000-euro mark. Power would come from either a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder engine or a 1.5-liter inline-four, and the car would likely be built in a low-cost nation in order to make the financials work. Wearing the Mercedes-Benz name, the X-Class would have to exhibit more distinguishable luxury and styling to set itself apart from the models that helped provide its underpinnings.
2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe
Thu, 31 Jan 2013
Mercedes-Benz upgraded its SLS flagship Coupe and Roadster for the 2013 model year, and the changes are marked with them new "GT" nomenclature. Both SLS models arrive with a retuned naturally aspired 6.2-liter V8 delivering 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque (the horses are up from 563, but the torque remains the same) mated to a revised seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch gearbox. Rounding out the mechanical upgrades is a redeveloped AMG two-mode adaptive suspension. Physically, the revised models are differentiated by their new "GT" badging, darkened headlight/taillight buckets, red brake calipers, unique wheel colors and high gloss finish on the front grille, exterior mirrors and hood/fender fins. Inside the cabin are new red seatbelts, Alcantara upholstery and contrasting red stitching.
As it is nearly impossible to experience the aluminum gullwing beast on public roads, Mercedes invited out to Southern California's Willow Springs to wring out the 2013 SLS GT Coupe on a racing circuit.
