Hello,

Up for sale is a 1968 Mercedes Benz 220 4 Cylinder Gas with a 4 + 1 Speed Manual Transmission. I'm the second owner and I bought the car in 1991 from my parents' best friends who bought the car originally from Germany in 1968 brand new. At the time I bought the car from them the car had about 51,000 kilometers. After a couple of years I moved to the United States where I currently live. The car is in Eastern Europe. The car is in really nice condition. It does not have any rust nor rips. Everything is original on the car and the car has always been garaged. No driving in rain or snow. The car has only 54,437 kilometers, or about 33,825 miles. These are the original mileage with a working speedometer and odometer. This can be proved by the hoses in the coolant system, all being original straight from the factory. The hoses have never been replaced. This is a very good way to show that the odometer is accurate and original. All the accessories I have added to the car, such as the cd player, underbody lights kit, "Super Sport" sticker, horns, Italian Fiamm, air compressor, musical horns, and a lot of other accessories can all be taken off the car without causing any damage to the car.  I have the original radio in good working condition. Everything is in good working status. Windows go up and down, locks, seats, etc. everything works. Paint is in original, overall excellent condition. All the chrome is excellent. Every time I go back home I change all the fluids and start the car. The car does need a battery and new tires because the tires are old. No leaks on the car. Brakes are original from the factory, never been replaced because of the car's low mileage. Transmission shifts very smoothly and the ride is a true Mercedes Benz. You can even smell that "new car smell". On the right rear door there is a very light scratch and on the left front fender there are some spots where the paint got colored from the battery acid when the battery was changed. The radio was replaced with a Sanyo radio cassette 4 way stereo speaker. I also added a portable  Phillips cd player with a Phillips special auto mount holder as you can see in the pictures. Both of these units are brand new. I didn't really have a chance to drive the car and listen to the music a whole lot. I made the Mercedes Benz emblem on the hood able to be removed so that it wouldn't get stolen, and I do have that.

By Bidding on this item you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:

The car is currently located in Eastern Europe. Buyer is responsible for shipping the vehicle to his home. The car is for sale worldwide.

No returns. If you have any questions please message me via eBay.

Volvo S60 Polestar concept plays in the snow with Mercedes C63 AMG

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

Chris Harris took to a snowy stretch of tarmac to get a fingertips-on-the-wheel feel of the Volvo S60 Polestar concept. Harris says the turbocharged sedan with 508 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque - and a manual transmission - is "a study to see if Volvo can get back into the fast-car market." The Polestar S60 concept, one of which was already purchased for $300,000 by a private buyer, is still making the publicity rounds because even Volvo's Chinese owners realize that, as Harris says, "Volvo sold more cars because it made fast cars" like the old 850 T5 Wagon that stormed the British Touring Car Championship in the 1990s.
For reference, Harris compares the blue wonder to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and its 487 hp and 442 lb-ft. The question is, were Volvo to get the price of a production version of the S60 Polestar to climb way down from its 200,000-pound sticker, could it be worthy competition to the established giants?
You can watch Harris divine the answer via a lot of drifting through the snow and a drag race in the video below.

Mercedes-Benz intros long-wheelbase E-Class for China

Thu, 25 Apr 2013

Long-wheelbase sedans are a pretty hot commodity in China, and to keep up with the competition, Mercedes-Benz has introduced an extended version of the 2014 E-Class sedan at the Shanghai Motor Show. Audi, BMW, Volvo and even Cadillac offer extended versions of sedans specific to the Chinese market, and now the E-Class L, shown off in E400L guise, will give luxury sedan buyers in China yet another option.
Compared to the standard 2014 E-Class sedan, the new China-spec E-Class L has been stretched by 5.5 inches - all of which goes to the rear-seat passengers. According to an article on China View from earlier in the year, the market for chauffeur-driven cars is growing in the Asian nation, so automakers need long-wheelbase models like the E-Class L in order to fully compete. As for what powers this stretched E-Class, it's available in three models: the diesel E260L, the V6-powered E300L and the E400 Hybrid.
The redesigned E-Class and the all-new A-Class are just the first of 20 new Mercedes-Benz products that will be introduced into the Chinese auto market by 2015. Scroll down for the full press release on long-wheelbase E.

Next Mercedes S-Class stretching into this 600 Pullman limo

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

To the concern of nobody in particular, Mercedes-Benz will not be re-upping its Maybach line of ultra-luxury limousines. No, instead the German automaker will be stretching its already roomy S-Class, to make this upcoming 600 Pullman version of the decked-out beast.
The car in our new gallery of spy shots is sporting beefy B-pillars and a massive set of rear doors that should allow perfectly graceful ingress and egress from what is likely to be a palatial rear space. (In one photo we can even see a long-wheelbase S-Class in line with the new Pullman, handily exhibiting the size of the new variant.) The exterior modifications are otherwise obscured, though we can guess at revised front and rear fascia and lighting elements, based on both end being heavily taped for these test runs.
It's a good bet that the Pullman will make use of M-B's twin-turbocharged V12 engine, though sources indicate that a hybrid version might eventually be in the offing, as well.
