******I ONLY ACCEPT CASH AT A BANK IN PERSON OR A WIRE TRANSFER!!!******* MUST CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BUYING!

This car exeudes class, elegance and style. It is easier to drive around town and park than any of the "land yacht" 280's. Also less problematic, more fuel efficient and easier to drive!
1971 Mercedes 250 sedan w114. It is the 2.8L straight 6 and pulls hard and clean and burns absolutely no oil, high compression. ALL NEW FLUIDS, brakes, radiator, transmission, engine, rear diff. All suspension and brakes and other maintenance items have been addressed as needed and tires are almost brand new. This car drives and looks so nice you can use it as a show car that is fully sorted and drives as reliable as a new one.

About 36k miles SUPER CLEAN inside, outside, underside!

Exterior is in 95% condition I just had and expensive paint correction done and it is 100% free of swirls but had 3-4 scratches that are about 1-2inches, No fading or pealing at all, looks stunning.
Interior is in even better condition overall. I have the origional floor mats as well as the coco mats pictured.
Car is wired and ready for speakers just needs a headunit in place of the block off plate. I drive this car to relax and free my mind so I don't listen to music in it.
Air condition blows incredibly cold and strong. Brand new exhaust.

This classic Benz needs absolutely NOTHING to run perfect and drive daily for another 20-30k miles except oil changes!
This car has gets at least 10x the number of "thumbs up" and compliments my bentley continental gt & maserati granturismo S get!

From 10ft away this car looks like 100grand!

Here is a walk around video of the car. http://youtu.be/xVXc3e2ifUQ

More pics can be found in my online album from page 11 to page 15 http://razzi.me/VIPLuxuryGroup/photos?page=11

What isn't perfect.....very short list

-It developed a small drip on the transmission pan gasket and I haven't bother to replace it since it started when I had its fluid changed about 500 miles ago.

-Something broke in the odometer and it now turns at about 1/10th (why I said about 36k) the distance and the glass on the bezel is loose and could be reglued back on.

-Windshield sprayer needs a new hose line. I never drive it in rain and its always washed and kept in my garage so I never bothered.

TRADES:

I may consider trades for Italian sportbikes only.

Shipping if buyer arranges it. I have had great results with Exotic Car Transport based out of Orlando FL.

Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept gets mobbed in China

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

If the reception it received at the Shanghai Motor Show is any judge of marketplace acceptance, Mercedes-Benz has a hit on its hands in the form of the GLA Concept. And we can understand why - we're quickly becoming fans of Mercedes' recent styling language, as defined by new models like the CLA and this GLA Concept.
The big news on the exterior front are the headlamp clusters, which have frickin' laser beams attached to their foreheads embedded inside that are capable of projecting videos and images on a screen. Plus, a pair of video cameras are mounted on the roof that can be used to capture driving excitement or removed and taken with you. How cool is that? We just hope they have a substantial locking mechanism to prevent would-be thievery...
If the exterior is mostly ready for production, with a few of the more outlandish elements moved to the trash bin - like, for instance, laser-beam headlamps and removable action cams - the interior is a true custom job that screams concept loud and clear. There are all kinds of jewel-like finishes inside, along with transparent surfaces showing what looks like metal latticework underneath and some awfully thick looking leather with massive exterior stitching done by hand similar to what you'd find on a baseball glove.

VW joins Daimler's protest of new A/C refrigerant as EU deadline for compliance passes

Sun, 06 Jan 2013

The case of Dupont and Honeywell's refrigerant R-1234yf is doing the exact opposite of keeping things cool. The two chemical companies have spent years and hundreds of millions of dollars developing R-1234yf to replace R-134a, the new refrigerant shown to be 99.7-percent kinder to the environment than the one it is meant to succeed. Part of that development has been years of testing by governments, outside safety agencies and automakers to approve the chemical for use in cars. It passed the protocols necessary for the European Union to declare that new and significantly revised cars from 2013 onward needed to use R-1234yf, and mandated that every car as of 2017 must use it.
Enter Daimler AG. The automaker created a head-on collision test with a B-Class at their Sindelfingen test track that would lead to the pressurized refrigerant being sprayed on the engine. The result in 20 out of 20 test was that the refrigerant burst into flames as soon as it hit the hot engine, while Daimler says that R-134a does not catch fire in the same test. Another unexpected result of the R-1234yf test was the release of hydrogen flouride, a chemical far more deadly to humans than hydrogen cyanide, emitted in such amounts that it that turned the windshield white as it began to eat into the glass.
Said a Daimler engineer in a Reuters piece, "It was scarcely believable. The most complicated lab tests conducted using the most sensitive measuring instruments around found nothing and all we do is drive a car around a couple of times, open a tiny hole in the refrigerant line and the next thing you know the car is on fire." So Daimler said it wouldn't use the refrigerant, and it recalled the cars it had already shipped with R-1234yf.

New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe spied in revealing state of dress

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

During a product briefing earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz told us that 2013 would be the "year of the S-Class." Makes sense, too, since the flagship Mercedes is so very close to finally showing its production-ready face. But the high-tech saloon isn't the only S-Class to talk about this year - quite the contrary. Seen here in decidedly revealing camouflage, the new S-Class Coupe will be joining its four-door compadre in the not-too-distant future, as well.
When it launches, the S-Class Coupe will officially do away with the CL-Class nomenclature. This doesn't come as a huge shock. After all, when the new E-Class coupe and convertible were launched, it officially marked the end of the long-running CLK-Class designation.
Thanks to the interesting camouflage seen here, we have a very good glimpse at how the S-Class Coupe will look when all of the molding and swirly paper are peeled off. Rakish body lines pulled from the CLS-Class meet a much more dynamic front fascia. Out back, there are horizontal taillamps rather than the vertical units used on the current car, and the whole package seems very svelte. Our spy photographer even posits that this will be "the best-looking car from Mercedes-Benz in ages."
