VERY RARE 1973 MERCEDES 280C. A ONE-OWNER COUPE WITH EURO BUMPERS, RARE AC CAR, 200 HP 2.8 LITRE ENGINE AND ONLY 109K ACTUAL MILES. THIS HAS BEEN GARAGED ALL ITS LIFE ALSO.
THIS LITTLE CAR SPENT ITS ENTIRE LIFE IN PALM SPRINGS UNTIL IT WAS TRADED IN FOR A NEW CAR BY THE ORIGINAL OWNERS TO THE MAN I BOUGHT IT FROM.

CAR RUNS GREAT. STRAIGHT & TRUE DOWN THE ROAD, TRANS SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD, TIRES ARE NEW ONLY A FEW MONTHS AGO AND THE FRONT END HAS JUST HAD A $2800 REBUILD. THE CAR RIDES VERY COMFORTABLY.
THE MOONROOF NEEDS THE TWO RUBBER SEALS,($90) & THE CHROME WITH RUBBER - SEAL BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR SIDE WINDOWS ON PASSENGER SIDE.
THE PASS SIDE REAR SIDE WINDOW ALSO NEEDS THE MECHANISIM ADJUSTED MAKING THE WINDOW SLIP DOWN WHICH IS WHY I HAVE IT DUCT TAPED IN ANTICIPATION OF THE NEW BUYER HAVING THE CAR TRANSPORTED.
I ALSO HAVE THE MOON ROOF DUCT TAPED AFTER A TOTAL IN-OUT-ON-UNDER DETAILING. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BUT IT HAS HAD A LITTLE TOUCH UP PAINT WORK HERE AND THERE ABOUT 5-7 YEARS AGO I WAS TOLD.
THE DASH CENTER SPEAKER COVER IS WARPED LIKE EVERY ONE OF THESE CARS THAT STILL EXIST. BUT THEY ARE AVAILABLE AS WELL. THE RUBBER SEALS AROUND TRUNK LID, HOOD, DOORS AND WINDOWS ARE ALL EXCELLENT, LIKE NEW WITH EXCEPTION OF THE ONE I'VE ALREADY MENTIONED.

THERE'S NOTHING TO HIDE ON THIS CAR. THIS IS JUST A VERY NICE DRIVER- QUALITY 40 YEAR OLD CAR. IT DOES HAVE THE FEW MINOR ISSUES I HAVE MENTIONED BUT THIS IS A STRAIGHT, ONE OWNER, WELL CARED FOR 280 COUPE WITH SERVICE RECORDS AND ALL THE BOOKS....EVEN THE ORIGINAL SET OF TOOLS AND ORIGINAL SPARE TIRE PLUS...PROTECT-O-PLATE.
THE ONLY REAL NEGATIVE I HAVE FOUND WITH THIS CAR IS THAT THE FIRST HAD SWAPPED THE FACTORY BECKER RADIO FOR A LATER MODEL KENWOOD STEREO. I DID NOT RECIEVE THE BECKER AT PURCHASE. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS. I WOULD DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE BUT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN TO ANY CAR ON A TRIP, EVEN NEW CARS. SO WITH THAT IN MIND, I WOULD SUGGEST HAVING THE CAR TRANSPORTED BUT IT IS YOUR OPTION TO COME GET THE CAR ALSO.

NOTE: SORRY ABOUT THE SCREW UP WITH STATEMENT IN THE TITLE OF "NO RESERVE" AND THEN FORGETTING TO REMOVE THE ACTUAL RESERVE AS I WAS MAKING THE CHANGE FROM IT HAVING A RESERVE.
A BID WAS MADE WHILE I WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE THE CHANGE SO THE SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO CHANGE THE TITLE OR REMOVE THE RESERVE SETTING.

Mercedes-Benz releases stunning first images of 2014 S-Class

The all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, designated W222, is one of the most highly anticipated debuts of its model year. Every generation of the flagship sedan has broken new ground in technology and innovation for the entire industry, and the German automaker appears determined to raise the bar much further with its latest arrival as it promises to deliver "the best automobile in the world." Mercedes-Benz has just released nearly two dozen interior images of the new sedan, showing off style in design, craftsmanship in execution and pioneering advancements in technology.
Unlike all previous generations - the first S-Class officially arrived in 1972 - the 2014 model completely discards a traditional instrument cluster and replaces it with two high-resolution color displays in 8:3 format with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches (the outgoing model's gauges were a mix of digital and analog). The left unit displays traditional analog gauges (digitally, of course) while the right unit is reserved for infotainment and comfort settings with the automaker's all-new mBrace2 - a cloud-based entertainment and information delivery system that is rolling out this year.
Next Mercedes S-Class stretching into this 600 Pullman limo
Fri, 15 Mar 2013To the concern of nobody in particular, Mercedes-Benz will not be re-upping its Maybach line of ultra-luxury limousines. No, instead the German automaker will be stretching its already roomy S-Class, to make this upcoming 600 Pullman version of the decked-out beast.
The car in our new gallery of spy shots is sporting beefy B-pillars and a massive set of rear doors that should allow perfectly graceful ingress and egress from what is likely to be a palatial rear space. (In one photo we can even see a long-wheelbase S-Class in line with the new Pullman, handily exhibiting the size of the new variant.) The exterior modifications are otherwise obscured, though we can guess at revised front and rear fascia and lighting elements, based on both end being heavily taped for these test runs.
It's a good bet that the Pullman will make use of M-B's twin-turbocharged V12 engine, though sources indicate that a hybrid version might eventually be in the offing, as well.
Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship.
