Up for sale is a super clean meticulously maintained 2005 Mercedes Benz E320 CDI Turbo Diesel. I am the second owner of this dealer maintained car and it is one of the cleanest MBs I've seen of this year. This is a rust free FL car used for mostly highway trips and has been garaged, cleaned, and pampered from day one. The original owner and subsequently myself have kept this car mechanically and cosmetically perfect, if something was needed it was done. In the last two years I had my independent Mercedes Benz mechanic install an all new AC system, motor mounts, transmission mounts, flex disc, alternator, serpentine belt, tensioners, idler pulleys, and full fluid and engine tuneup. I also had him perform the major transmission service, suspension rebuild, rear brakes, and both batteries replaced. When I say the car needs nothing I mean it.
This E320 has all the usual options a luxury car should have like power seats, keyless entry, power windows, automatic lights, automatic wipers, center audio screen, and a shiftable 5-speed automatic transmission. Everything on the car from headlight to tail light works as it should. Interior is clean and solid as well as the body and shiny paint work. There will be normal wear and tear on any used car but this one has so very little, nothing more than some scratches and blemishes, not even a door ding. Only changes to the car are upgraded 17" wheels and tires from the newer E-classes that in my opinion are much nicer looking and where pretty expensive at the time.
The car drives straight with no leaks anywhere, no rattles, no smoking(hardly any from the diesel), or other problems. This is my favorite diesel Mercedes I've ever owned, even more so than my 1998 E300 I bought new. I will be sad to see her go but it's time for someone else enjoy such a wonderful car that has never left me stranded or even questioning driving it to California and back. I also have all of the manuals and literature from new as well that came with the car.
I have over a hundred pictures in an online account that I can email to you. Please email with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Chris Harris and David Coulthard wring out a Mercedes Fintail at the N"urburgring

Thu, 17 Oct 2013

If there's one thing we've learned from the latest video from Drive, it's that the combination of Chris Harris and David Coulthard will produce some very quotable moments. Take this exchange, for example.
DC: "We are by some way the slowest."
CH: "But we're in a class of three cars, apparently."

Mercedes-AMG considering turbo fours, hybrid sixes for future performance sedans

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

Think of the letters AMG and you'll probably end up picturing a performance sedan with a big V8. Such has become, after all, the Mercedes turning division's calling card. But with the introduction of its 2.0-liter turbo four, AMG is working at turning that notion on its head.
The highly potent engine produces 355 horsepower and is presently installed in the A45 AMG hatchback, CLA45 AMG sedan and GLA45 AMG crossover, giving Benz's smallest family a full range of performance models. But that might not be the full extent of the high-strung four-pot's use.
Speaking with AMG boss Tobias Moers, Britain's What Car? magazine reports that Affalterbach is considering slotting the same engine into larger models, particularly performance sedans like the C-Class. As we recently reported, Mercedes is already preparing to up the power from the turbo V6 in the C400 to slot a C450 Sport in below the C63 AMG. The C450 is expected to offer around 367 horsepower where the CLA45 AMG et al pack 355, but the lighter weight of the four-cylinder engine would likely offset the truancy of those extra dozen horses. Of course such a prospect would be much further down the pipeline than the C450 Sport which is expected to arrive much sooner.

Mercedes fits new C-Class with AMG kit

Sat, 28 Dec 2013

It's only been a week and a half since Mercedes-Benz revealed the new C-Class, and it'll likely be a while yet before the replacement for the C63 AMG comes along. But if you want to see a preview of what it'll look like, look no further than the AMG aero kit that has just surfaced.
Expected to debut on the new C-Class at the fast-approaching Detroit Auto Show, the AMG Line Exterior Pack adds a new bumpers front and rear, side skirts, dual exhaust tips, mesh grille, aluminum window frames and - most importantly - 18-inch alloys packing upgraded brakes and fitted to a lowered sport suspension. All of which will help any C-Class look the part, even if the engine remains stock.
