You are viewing a excellent example of this 1990 Mercedes 300 D . The car is a 2 owner car that was purchased from a 80 year old man who babied it forever. The car was in his garage for 10 years and he barely put any miles on it. So it was time to say good bye. I purchased this car and was excited because the 124 Diesels are Rare and they get an amazing 42 MPG . And with this car only have 92 k miles its barely broken in. The car is garnet red metallic over palamino Mb text. The paint is shiny and looks excellent . The Interior is also like new. The seats are soft and look perfect with no wear and they are very firm as when they were new. The wood is also in excellent condition with no cracks. The headliner ,carpets and dash are also all pristine . Inside the car you will find the original radio that works perfectly as does the power antenna. All the windows work properly as does the sunroof even the cruise control works perfectly. I did alot of service on the car when i bought it. Because it say so long i went through everything. I dropped the fuel tank and cleaned the screen and replaced the fuel filters. The car has 4 new tires, excellent brakes that are like new. The Engine starts right up and runs like a watch. very smooth and quiet. There are no leaks anywhere its bone dry. I replaced the Motor mounts , new belt tensionor shock, new battery , Climate control unit works perfectly New blower motor and resistor. Ice cold Ac and hot heat. I changed the oil with Shell Rotella 15/40 ,also new filters oil and air. new coolant and also rear end fluid was changed. This car will last someone a lifetime. The car has Zero rust and always was a Fl car that was garaged. These cars are known to go well over 500 k miles. The car gets over 40 MPG and is one of the best road cars made. I am pricing the car very fair and I hope it goes to a good home I promise the previous owner it would . I spent over $ 2500 in the last 2 months to make this car road worthy and ready for its next 100 k miles, The engine runs excellent and the transmission shifts very smooth. New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe spied in revealing state of dress
Tue, 19 Feb 2013During a product briefing earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz told us that 2013 would be the "year of the S-Class." Makes sense, too, since the flagship Mercedes is so very close to finally showing its production-ready face. But the high-tech saloon isn't the only S-Class to talk about this year - quite the contrary. Seen here in decidedly revealing camouflage, the new S-Class Coupe will be joining its four-door compadre in the not-too-distant future, as well.
When it launches, the S-Class Coupe will officially do away with the CL-Class nomenclature. This doesn't come as a huge shock. After all, when the new E-Class coupe and convertible were launched, it officially marked the end of the long-running CLK-Class designation.
Thanks to the interesting camouflage seen here, we have a very good glimpse at how the S-Class Coupe will look when all of the molding and swirly paper are peeled off. Rakish body lines pulled from the CLS-Class meet a much more dynamic front fascia. Out back, there are horizontal taillamps rather than the vertical units used on the current car, and the whole package seems very svelte. Our spy photographer even posits that this will be "the best-looking car from Mercedes-Benz in ages."
Watch this perfectly nice Mercedes get crushed by a front-end loader
Mon, 25 Mar 2013In a world where the YouTube hoax continues to thrive, it's hard to know what to think of this little vid, but here are the facts as we know them: a coupe that looks like a first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLK gets crushed by a giant front-end loader. There you have it.
Our questions arise in the aftermath - we know industrial resource machinery is heavy, but the Benz gets squashed so flat we wonder if someone's trying to play a joke on us. We hear that the white coupe may have been the heavy-equipment operator's foreman's car, but who knows? The on-camera interview seems awfully conveniently placed, yes? See for yourself in the video below and then leave us your thoughts in Comments.
European automakers gear up for Brazilian production
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Brazil is the place to be, apparently. Toyota has been investing in the South American country, as has BMW, which announced a $261 million investment in October 2012, on the heels of an Audi factory announcement in San José Chiapa. The high-end immigration is only set to continue, as Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar-Land Rover have both announced plans to set up manufacturing operations there.
Mercedes is the big news here, as its new facility will see the German manufacturer invest 170-million euros for production of its next-generation C-Class and upcoming GLA-Class. "Brazil is an important future market. With our local production we accept the challenge and take on the competition," noted Andreas Renschler, Management Board member for Production and Procurement at Mercedes-Benz Cars and Mercedes-Benz Vans. Production is expected to begin by 2016.
Jaguar-Land Rover, meanwhile, isn't so concrete in its plans. The news of its investment in South America comes from a job posting for a plant quality manager in Brazil that was picked up by the UK's AutoCar. "Portuguese language skills will be definite advantage" for interested candidates, according to the job listing. The want ad follows on the heels of remarks by Jaguar Land Rover's Dr. Ralph Speth, who said there are "very intensive discussions" with Brazil's government. Unlike Mercedes, there's no mention of which vehicles will be produced in South America, although AutoCar thinks the Freelander, sold in the US as the LR2, is a leading contender.
